HUTB Co-hosted 2020 Hunan Provincial Mathematics Competition for University Students

On November 28, the Hunan division preliminary contest of the 12thNational Mathematics Competition for University Students & 2020 Hunan Provincial Mathematics Competition for University Students, hosted by the Department of Education of Hunan Province and co-hosted by HUTB, was held in the Zhicheng Building of HUTB. The contest was attended by nearly 1400 students from 37 colleges and universities in the province. Officials, including Zeng Liqin, Director of the Higher Education Division of the Department of Education of Hunan Province, Huang Yunqing, President of Hunan Province Mathematical Society and Party Secretary of Xiangtan University, Tang Yayang, Party Secretary of HUTB and Liu Guoquan, Vice President of HUTB, conducted inspection and guidance on site.
After the conclusion of the contest, the Working Committee of Hunan Provincial Mathematics Competition for University Students convened a review meeting to evaluate competition results. After review, the Working Committee announced the result. Students from HUTB received 3 first prizes, 12 second prizes and 10 third prizes, marking HUTB’s excellent performance in the competition.
