Publicity Group of CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Holds Seminar on Implementing the Spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee in HUTB

On the afternoon of November 24, according to the requirements of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC Hunan Provincial Committee)and the arrangement of the publicitygroup of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, Deng Qingke, member of the publicitygroup of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, member of the party group and vice chairmanof Hunan Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and vice chairmanof Hunan Provincial Federation of Humanities and Social Sciences Circles, delivered a speech on implementing the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19thCentral Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC Central Committee) at a seminar in HUTB. The seminar was held in the lecture hall of the Economic Management Complex. Attendees include all the chief leaders, members of the party committee, cadres at deputy department director level, secretaries of party branch, retirees and student representatives. HUTB Party Secretary Tang Yayang presided over the event.
At the seminar, under the theme of “Tell Another ‘Chinese Story’ at the Stage of New Development-Study the Spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19thCPC Central Committee”, Deng Qingke elaborated on the Fifth Plenary Session in a comprehensive, systematic and vivid manner from the perspectives of significance, historic achievements, key point, ambitious blueprint, strategic initiative and fundamental guarantee and in light of the actual economic and social development of Hunan Province.
He pointed out that the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19thCPC Central Committee was an important meeting of milestone significance as China enters the stage of new development and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. He said that the achievement of securing a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects during the 13thFive-Year Plan period creatives enabling conditions for the country to enter the stage of fulling building a modern socialist China. After building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, we will embark on a new journey to fully build a modern socialist China. This requires mastering the stage of new development in a scientific fashion, continuing to implement the concept of new development, accelerating the construction of a new development paradigm, and pursuing the main line of promoting high-quality development and deepening the supply side structural reform. During the first 5-year period and 15-year period at the stage of new development, we will build China into a modern socialist country featuring large population, common prosperity, balance between material progress and cultural and ideological progress, harmonious coexistence of mankind and nature and the path of peace and development. He stressed that the Fifth Plenary Session clarified for the first time the status of fulling building a modern socialist China in the “four comprehensives” strategy, put “technological innovation and independence” first in the list of tasks, prioritized real economy in economic development, promoted better combination of effective market and efficient government, advanced rural revitalization, implemented rural construction initiative, formulated a timetable for building a culturally advanced country, made economic and social development greener, improved people’s living standards, proactively implemented the national strategy of addressing the challenges presented by aging population, and pursued security and development in the various areas of national development. Leadership of the Communist Party of China is the key to the governance of China. Only by strengthening the comprehensive leadership of the Communist Party of China can we ensure high-quality development at the stage of new development.
Secretary Tang Yayang pointed out that publicizing and implementing the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19thCPC Central Committee is an important political task at present and going forward and a top priority in the field of education. He stressed following points: first, we need to master the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session, clarify the significance of the session and the important thought, conclusions and initiatives put forward at the session, accurately grasp the important instruction concerning the development of education course, and deepen the implementation of the spirit; second, we need to combine the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session with the spirit of the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his visit to Hunan Province, and study the spirit in a comprehensive and systematic manner in light of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s requirements regarding “three highlands”, “four new missions” and “five tasks” and the practical conditions; third, we need to comprehensively implement the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session with the spirit of the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his visit to Hunan Province, implement the fundamental task of morality and education, fulfill basic functions, accelerate the implementation of the “Double First-Class” initiative, do a good job of preparing the 14thFive-Year Plan, strengthening the comprehensive leadership of the Communist Party of China and party building work, and work for new progress in various causes.(Reported by Zhang Gaoyang, Photo by Chen Luming and Li Ziyu)
