Military Training Achievement Reporting Meeting for Freshmen Enrolled in 2020: Military Training Ends but Youth Never Drops Away

On the morning of September 30, with the loud and clear singing, the Military Training Achievement Reporting Meeting for Freshmen Enrolled in 2020was held at the track-and-field ground in the North Campus. Party Secretary-General Tang Yayang, President Chen Xiaohong (an academician of the Chinese Academy Engineering (CAE)), Vice President Zeng Fuqiu, Vice President Liu Guoquan, staff members chiefly in charge of relevant organizations and secondary schools, freshmen enrolled in 2020and military training instructors were present at the meeting.
The meeting commenced with the loud and clear singing of March of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
President Chen Xiaohong reviewed the formations, and said proudly and cheerfully, “Salute to you, students, thankyou for your hard work!” Then the freshmen sonorously replied, “Hail to you, President! To wind honor for the country!”, demonstrating HUTB students’ exuberance.
As the Parade March of the PLA was played, the formations walked through the rostrum in neat and powerful pace. Majestic formations, resounding slogans, neat paces, and powerful arm swing all manifested new-era university students’ vigorousness and passion.
The following military training result check, wigwag formation performance and capture formation performance adequately presented the achievements in the 11-day military training and embodied freshmen’s industriousness and teamwork.
Then, Vice President Liu Guoquan read the Notification on Commenting Outstanding Groups and Advanced Individuals in Military Training for Freshmen Enrolled in 2020and commended 5 “outstanding drill formations” represented by the School of Accounting in the fourth battalion, 29 “outstanding instructors” represented by Zou Yucheng, and 481 “advanced individuals” represented by He Lewei. The representatives of the winners were presented with the prizes by HUTB leaders.
When the meeting was close to an end, the students sang the anthem of HUTB and also My Motherland and I in chorus to celebrate the 71stanniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
Last, Vice President Zeng Fuqiu made a conclusion on the military training by recognizing and complimenting the freshmen and military training instructors for their achievements, and expected students to make further efforts for the development of the university and their better life. Then, the military training for the freshmen enrolled in 2020 ended.
