Prof. Wang Minggao Was Listed into “the 7th Outstanding Social Scientist of Hunan Province”

The CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and People’s Government of Hunan Provincereleased the Announcement of Hunan Province on Commending the 14thExcellent Social Science Achievements, the 7thOutstanding Social Scientists and the 5thOutstanding Young Social Scientists, and Prof. Wang Minggao of HunanUniversity of Technology and Business (HUTB) was listed into“the 7thOutstanding Social Scientists of Hunan Province”, showing highly recognition of HUTB’ssocial science research.
Prof. Wang has been engaged in systematically researching clean government construction since 1996. In 1999, he completed the article Considerations about and Suggestions on Taking Specific Operations to Crack Down on Corruption, which was published in the form of internal reference in Domestic News Proofsby the Xinhua News Agency, Memoir of Information and Intelligenceby the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China, Internal Reference of Party Building Researchby the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, and Ideological and Theoretical Internal Referenceby People’s Daily,and was reprinted by Xinhua Digest, China Social Sciences Digest, etc. In May, 2000, his subject Research on Anti-corruption Measures in the New Centurybased on the article was approved by the National Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science. His research achievements were published by domestic and international presses, such as People’s Daily, Guangming Daily, Xinhua Digest, China Social Sciences Digest, CCTV, Phoenix Television, USA Todayof USA, Lianhe Zaobaoof Singapore, Asahi Shimbunof Japan, etc., and translated into English, French, German, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, Korea, etc. In 2003, 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2016, invited by the organizing committeeof the International Anti-corruption Conference, he attended the 11th, 12th, 13th, 14thand 17thInternational Anti-corruption Conferences held in Korea, Guatemala, Greece, Thailand and the capital city of Panama. He presided over the international project “Commercial Bribery Prevention and Governance of China” sponsored by “Strategic Prosperity Fund (SPF)” of UK Government, “Research on Relevant Corruption Prevention Measures of China” which was a major project under theNational Soft Science Research Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, “A Study of Measures to Oppose and Control Corruption in China in the New Century”under the National Social Science Fund Program, and three key authorized projects underHunan Provincial Social Science FundProgram, and some of his research achievements have been in the national decision-making phase. His relevant works and papers were awarded the 9thand 12thnational outstanding readings on party building, the 1stnational excellent readings on clean government culture, the 2ndprize of the 6thExcellent Science Research Achievement Award in Institutions of Higher Education, the 1stprizes of the 7th, 11thand 12thPhilosophy and Social Science Excellent Achievements issued by the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and People’s Government of Hunan Province; the excellent works award for the 6th, 7thand 8thHunan Province Cultural and Ideological Progress “FiveWorks” Program, outstanding doctoral degree thesis of Hunan Province, etc.
Thanks to his outstanding contributions to research on clean government construction, at the General Prosecutor Meeting of Hunan Province held recently, Ye Xiaoying, Party Secretary and Chief Procurator of Hunan Provincial People's Procuratorate, announced the decision to appoint the Third Expert Advisory Committee of Hunan Provincial People's Procuratorate and presented certificates of appointment, and Prof. Wang was reappointed as the advisory expert of Hunan Provincial People's Procuratorate.

The Expert Advisory Committee of Hunan Provincial People's Procuratorate is a procuratorial organ decision-making advisory agency set in accordance with Measures for Work of Expert Advisory Committee of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of the People's Republic of Chinaand Measures for Work of Expert Advisory Committee of Hunan Provincial People's Procuratorate, which is designed to further strengthen the decision-making democratization and scientization of procuratorial organs and exert the role of such expert advisory committees to the fullest. It mainly offers advisory opinions on major issues of procuratorial work, including research on major theoretical issues of procuratorial work, demonstrating relevant issues in major, difficult and complicated cases, providing expert advisory opinions on work reports, judicial interpretations and relevant normative documents drafted by the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of the People's Republic of China, conducting special surveys, offering assistance in cultivating senior specialists, etc.
That Prof. Wang was listed into“the 7thOutstanding Social Scientists of Hunan Province” and reappointed as the advisory expert of Hunan Provincial People's Procuratorate fully proves the tremendous strength and sound social influence of the clean government construction research team of HUTB.
