HUTB Holds Farewell Meeting for Enlisted Students and Welcome Meeting for Returnees of 2020

On the morning of September 8, the farewell meeting for enlisted students and welcome meeting for returnees of 2020 was held in Conference Room 301 of No.2 Office Building. Vice President Zeng Fuqiu were present, and heads and faculty members of the Student Affairs Division, Defense Education Department and secondary colleges, 26 enlisted students and 15 veteran students, and parent representatives were also present. It was presided over by Tang Xiaoqin, Director of the Defense Education Department.

At the meeting, Tang introduced the enlistmentinformationof HUTB, and read out the Decision on GrantingLi Huqiang and other 26 Students “Award of Servingthe Country by Joining the Army”.Vice President Zeng Fuqiu and staff members of the Defense Education Department presented honor certificatesand awards to the returnees, and heads and relevant teaching faculty members of secondary colleges ornamented enlisted students withthe honor symbol of red flowers. Yang Changcai, a major in Electronic Information Engineering fromClass of 1601, Lu Mingwei, a major in Visual Communication and Design from Class of 1804, and Jiang Shan, a major in Logistics Management from Class of1901, as enlisted student representatives, made speeches, expressed their gratitude to HUTB and their parents, and talked about their longingand yearning for militarylife. Li Huqiang, a major in Animation from Class of 1701, and Yi Dian, a major in Electronic Information Engineering from Class of 1601, as returnee representatives, shared their military life experience with the newlyenlisted students. Yang Jia, Vice Party Secretary-Generalof theSchool of Art and Design,was invited to share the enlistment experience.
Vice President Zeng spokehighly of and warmlyencouraged the enlisted students, offered them many suggestions on theupcoming military life, and also expressed his ardent expectations. Meanwhile, he extended warmhearted welcome to the returnees and highly recognized their contributions to our country.
The meeting demonstrated HUTB’s great attention to enlistment. Itis believed that the returnees will be diligent in learning and endeavor to improve their overall quality in campus, and the enlisted students will sprinkle with sweat and write anew life chapter in thearmy.
