A Delegation Led by Tang Yayang Secretary of HUTB Party Committee Visits OTOP Industrial Promotion Center for Investigation

On September 7, Tang Yayang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hunan University of Technology and Business (HUTB), together with relevant leaders of the Party Committee and Principal Office, the School of Business Administration, the School of Tourism Management, the School of Continuing Education and other departments, visited the One Tambon One Product (OTOP) Industrial Promotion Center of China Council for the Promotion of National Trade (CCPNT) for investigation. The delegation was warmly received by Lan Jun, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of CCPNT, and Luo Chun, Vice Chairman of CCPNT and Chief Executive Officer of the OTOP Industrial Promotion Center.
Secretary Tang Yayang and his delegation first visited the exhibition hall of the OTOP Industrial Promotion Center. The commentator introduced to the delegation this center’s basic information such as brand development and positioning, the “6+3” closed-loop operation mode, and the operation management service platform. The commentator also talked about the main achievements this center had achieved in business development.
At the symposium, Chairman Lan Jun extended warm welcome to Secretary Tang and his delegation. Chairman Lan explained in detail the development history, project contents, main tasks, architecture design, brand activities, international cooperation, and other aspects of the OTOP Industrial Promotion Center as well as the background of this center’s settlement in Changsha. Chairman Lan analyzed the path and measures to develop a product credit platform integrated with the qualifications of formulation, assessment, and identification, adding that all these efforts are aimed to develop the OTOP Industrial Promotion Center into a comprehensive service provider that delivers better life forpeople. He looked forward to the cooperation with HUTB in education and training, scientific research, and personnel training. He hoped that such cooperation can facilitate the center’s taking root in Changsha, serving the Chinese market, and radiating the world and lead to win-win results for both sides.
Secretary Tang Yayang expressed his thanks to Lan Jun for the warm reception. He believed that the OTOP Industrial Promotion Program is an important undertaking under the banner of national unity and a major measure to advance China’s poverty alleviation and rural revitalization strategies; he held that the OTOP Industrial Promotion Program is promising, for it focuses on people's wellbeing, integrates national strategies, and receives strong government support. He pointed out that as a responsible public university, HUTB can fully integrate its advantages in scientific research, disciplines, and talents into national strategies and relevant OTOP projects to support the new leap development of the OTOP industry. In the meantime, HUTB can improve its comprehensive strength in academic research, discipline construction, and talent training during the cooperation, Tang added.
After the symposium, relevant attendees discussed relevant issues and established a matchmaking and liaison mechanism.
