HUTB Leaders Inspect and Instruct Campus Construction Projects

On the morning of August 31, President & Academician Chen Xiaohong and Vice Presidents Peng Jinqing and Liu Guoquan, together with the leaders of the Party Committee Office and Principal Office, the Student Affairs Division, the Academic Affairs Division, the AssetsManagement Division, the Capital Construction Division, the Logistics Division, the Security Division, the Entrepreneurship Education and Practice Teaching Center, the Beijin College, the Library, the Student Apartment Management Service and Education Center and other departments, inspected and instructed campus construction projects.
President Chen and her delegation successively inspected the construction projects including the public washrooms and toilets in Block 7 of Xiande Student Apartmentsonthe main campus, the laboratories and smart classrooms in the Economic Management Complex, the No.1 Teaching Building on the north campus, the laboratories in the Laboratory Building, and the Wenjin Bookbar in the Library. As they walked, they inspected the project sites and construction quality and urged all departments to continue completing the follow-up work on time and with good quality. In the Student Apartment and the Economic Management Complex, President Chen cordially greeted the returning students. She asked them about their learning and living conditions and encouraged them to fully utilize the continuously improving learning and living conditions to strive for better academic performance.
President & Academician Chen Xiaohong fully affirmed all the construction projects carried out on the campus during the summer vacation. She held that the joint efforts of all the departments have further improved and upgraded the campus environment and made better learning and living conditions available for students. She emphasized that after the completion of each new project, its supporting facilities and materials should be well equipped as quickly as possible, so that this new project can go into use as soon as possible to serve the faculty’s teaching and research as well as students’ study and living. President Chen required that the existing teaching sites on the campus should be subjected to further layout optimization, detail refinement, and management strengthening. She urged that all departments should work hard to create a most beautiful university campus with constantly improving high standards and high quality. Finally, President Chen expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the workers who adhered to the front line of campus construction during the whole summer vacation. She encouraged them to continue working hard through sincere cooperation to lay a solid foundation and set a good start for HUTB’s “14th Five-Year Plan”. (Reported by Zhang Gaoyang)
