HUTB Held Emergency Drills of Campus Epidemic Prevention and Control Work

In order to further improve the emergency response capability of HUTB fighting against Covid-19, maintain the normal life order of the campusduring the spring semester, and protect the life safety and health of the teachers and students, on the afternoon of may 15, HUTBheld an emergency drill on the prevention and control of the campus epidemic, which was conducted simultaneously in the north and south campuses. Tang Yayang, Secretary of the Party Committee of HUTB, Academicianand PresidentChen Xiaohong, Vice-presidentPeng Jinqing and Liu Guoquan and other leaders went to the scene to give guidance. Relevant personnel from Party Administration Office, LogisticsOffice, Student AffairsOffice, PersonnelOffice, Academic AffairsOffice, SecurityOffice, Graduate School, International Business School, North Campus Management Committee and secondary collegesand schoolstook part in thedrill.
The drill organizerinvited Wang Hong, director of Yuelu District Health Bureau and PartyLeadership Group Secretary;Hu Yanhong, director of theDistrict Center of DiseaseControl (CDC);Wang Jiucheng, chairman of the Labor Union and deputy director of the District CDC;Dai Shiwen, deputy director of the District Market Supervision Administration, and Li Xiaohui, section chief of Aids Prevention andControlof Wangcheng District CDC, and other unit leaders to observe the drillson the north and south campus. Staff from Yuelu District Science and Technology Bureau, Wangchengpo StreetOffice and Daze Lake StreetOfficeof Wangcheng District were accompanied, and staff from Wangchengpo Police Station, Wangchengpo Street Community Health Service Center and Xingcheng Police Station of Wangcheng District participated in the drills.
In order to ensure the effect of the drill, HUTBformulated the Emergency DrillPlan for Epidemic Prevention and Control Work of HUTBin advance, specifying the purpose and requirements, the time and place of the drills, the division of participantsand main responsibilities, the setting of scenes and the drillprocess. On the day before the drill, all departments provided unified training to the staff participating in the drill, arranged the drill scene, facilities and equipment, medical supplies and transportation vehicles in a unified way, and notified the campus order management matters in advance on the drill day, so as to make full preparations for the smooth progress of the drill.
At the scene of the drill, the staff of each post held fast to their posts and carried out their duties. Dozens of teachers who played students wore face masks and entered the campus one by one after completing the procedures of hand disinfection, body temperature detection, information examination, luggage disinfection and so on under the guidance of the staff at a distance of 1 meter from the entrance to the west gate of the south campus and the southwest gate of the north campus. Simulating the isolation and re-examination of the personnel with fever abnormality, the abnormal person will be sent to the clinicpromptly. Abnormal personnel after diagnosis by government medical institutions, temporarily exclude infectious diseases such as Covid-19, depending on the situation to the government pointed or the campusmedical observation isolation point for medical observation.
After the drill, the district epidemic prevention and control leaders and experts inspected the epidemic prevention and control work in 14 Block medical observation isolation point of Xiande Student Apartment in the south campus, Chufengxuan canteen, Youth Apartment in the north campus, 6 Block medical observation isolation point in the student apartment and other key places. They fully affirmed the implementation effect of the emergency drillsof epidemic prevention and control work in HUTBand the overall plan of the spring semester opening work, and put forward specific opinions and suggestions for further improvement and perfection of related work. According to the opinions and suggestions, HUTBwill further improve the relevant work and make every effort to build up the campus safety protection barrier.
