Big good news| President- Academician Chen Xiaohong of Our University Winning the Funding for Major Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China

Recently, National Natural Science Foundation of China publishes the review result of major projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China and the project of "research on theory and application of enterprise operation and service innovation management" presided over and declared by the President & Academician Chen Xiaohong wins the funding. The direct fund of the project reaches to RMB 14.638 million. The President & Academician Chen Xiaohong acts as General Leader of the project.
The major project of National Natural Science Foundation of China is mainly aimed at carrying out interdisciplinary research and comprehensive research to give full play to support and leading roles and improve China's ability of original innovation in fundamental research on the basis of important scientific issues in such big demands as science frontier and the national economy, social and scientific development as well as national security.
At present, new technologies such as IoT, big data, artificial intelligence, 5G and blockchain develop rapidly, driving the explosive growth of the digital economy. The role of the digital economy-new kinetic energy of economic development is increasingly prominent as well as top-level design and strategic deployment of promoting the development of digital economy in China have been initially formed and become clear. Exploring the revolutionary impact of digital economy driven by new technology on enterprise operation and management is very important to realize the economic transformation in China and promote the supply side reform to develop in depth and breadth. The "research on theory and application of enterprise operation and service innovation management" is aimed at exploring new problems of enterprise operation and service management in the era of digital economy based on unique economic and institutional environment in China and pursuant to the national demand of accelerating economic transformation in China under the background of the digital economy era. Key research: Five contents (including smart supply chain operation and service mode innovation and smart logistics management theory research). The major project will provide theoretical support and decision-making reference for constructing the new theory of operation and service innovation management in the era of digital economy, cultivating a batch of key academic talents and innovation teams in related fields as well as promoting the spanning development of operation and service management in China and enterprise transformation and industrial upgrading.
The project cooperates with top research teams in related fields from many well-known colleges and universities in China (such as Central South University, Tsinghua University, University of Science and Technology of China and Shenzhen University), gathers a batch of professors and moung and middle-aged backbones with rich scientific research experience and achievements as well as establishes a good and stable cooperation and communication relationship with a batch of well-known colleges and universities, experts and scholars at home and abroad based on many key laboratories and research centers in China. Members of the project team cover 1 academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, 3 national outstanding youths, 1 expert from "The Recruitment Program of Global Experts", 2 persons winning the title of outstanding young people, 1 young expert from "The Recruitment Program of Global Experts" and 132 various research personnel (including professor, researcher, associate professor and post-doctoral). As of the date when the declaration guideline is issued, members of the project team deeply discuss how to write the application form for more than 20 times.
The project includes five major projects. In addition to presiding over the general project study, the President & Academician Chen Xiaohong also leads the research team of Hunan University of Technology and Business to preside over and undertake the research of the major project - "intelligent operation and management of environmental service enterprise".
So far, our university has won 2 major projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and 8 general and youth projects with both total number of projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and approved funds hitting a new high.
The major project is another national major project led by the President & Academician Chen Xiaohong and the first project whose general leading unit is Hunan University of Technology and Business winning the funding of major projects from National Natural Science Foundation of China as well as another major breakthrough and symbolic achievement of our university, greatly driving the construction of "world-class university and discipline" and high-level industrial and commercial university by our university as well as laying a good foundation for high-quality development of our university during the period of "14th Five-Year Plan".
