[Lushan Lecture Room] Professor Li Zhijun Gave a Lecture Titled at "Research Problems of China to Be a Good Teller of the Story of China"

At the afternoon of November 24, Professor Li Zhijun, the head of the Management World magazine and doctoral supervisor, was invited to our school to give a lecture themed at "research problems of China to be a good teller of the story of China" on the 98thlecture of the Lushan Lecture Room. The lecture was presided over by Professor Li Dingjun, the Vice President.
Professor Li Zhijun took the important address given by the General Secretary Xi Jinping on the Work Forum of Philosophy and Social Sciences as the penetration point and elaborated relevant contents from aspects of the theory system, Chinese characteristics and paper submission. He pointed out that the theory system of the philosophy and social sciences with the Chinese characteristics could be established only through taking our country's actual situation as the starting point of research, putting forward theoretical perspectives featuring subjectivity and originality and constructing a scientific system, academic system and discourse system with distinctive characteristics. He stressed on that academic research directions and themes should be selected from the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the Party's guidelines and policies as well as the reality of economic and social development, and overemphasis and overlook should be avoided.
From the perspective of telling the story of China well, Professor Li pointed out that we must carry out theoretical research by closely combining China's economic reality and abide by academic morality and norms; keep to the point, maintain clear logic and use academic languages; apply scientific methods and reliable data and draw conclusions which are amenable. Professor Li especially emphasized that excellent articles must be published in Chinese periodicals, only Chinese know China's situation best, care about China's problems most and hope China to develop towards a good direction and have more in-depth and thorough research of China's problems.
Finally, Professor Li introduced the Management Worldjournal in detail, and deeply interpreted many aspects, including the journal running tenet, standard for accepting an article, the article reviewing procedure, uncertainties in article reviewing, column setting and key points focused. He also depicted the bright future of China's academic research and paper writing and expressed his earnest expectation for teachers and students. Teachers and students present say that the lecture is simple but profound and very rewarding with rich content.
