In order to further do well in the employment of students about to graduate in 2020, comprehensively promote the employment quality of graduates, strengthen the university-enterprise cooperation and promote the industry-education integration, the university held the recruitment conference of top 500 enterprises and the university-enterprise cooperation symposium on October 29. Tang Yayang, the Secretary of the Party Committee, the Vice President Zeng Fuqiu, the representatives of top 500 enterprises, the relevant leaders of the Admission & Employment Guidance Office, Dean's Office and each College participated in the symposium.
The recruitment conference of top 500 enterprises was held in multi-functional hall on the third floor of Innovation Center of Lingnan Campus. 32 enterprises from the World Top 500 Enterprises, China Top 500 Enterprises and Top 500 Private Enterprise of China such as COFCO Group, Sany Heavy Industry, Lens Technology, etc. participated in the recruitment conference and provided over 2,000 positions. The recruitment majors cover all majors of our university. Over 800 graduates participated in this recruitment conference, and the graduates from many peer colleges were also attracted.
At the symposium, the representatives of top 500 enterprises highly evaluated the graduates of our university, and thought those graduates had a solid professional foundation, are earnest, strong in adaptability and high in stability. In the meantime, they also hoped our university's majors shall keep up with the times change and strengthen students' training in practice innovation ability to constantly improve students' employment ability. They hoped to strengthen the interaction between schools and enterprises and the contact between enterprises and students and to create more opportunities for more enterprise mentors to guide employment and plan career in universities so that more students could have the internship and exercise in enterprises.
Vice President Zeng Fuqiu expressed thanks for the strong support of the university employment position provided by all enterprises for a long time, and indicated our university would seriously sort out the valuable opinions proposed by everyone and promote the more sustained, effective and deep university-industry cooperation through the practical actions to strive to cultivate our students into the talents truly needed by the society.
The Secretary Tang Yayang welcomed the top 500 enterprises in recruitment in our university, and expressed sincere thanks to everyone in proposing the valuable opinions to the employment and entrepreneurship of university, talent cultivation, major setting, course system reform, etc. He indicated that our university would consider integrating the former traditional economy and management major with new engineering and technology in terms of the major setting in the future after renamed as Hunan University of Technology and Business to constantly adapt the enterprises, market and social demands.
All participants widely exchanged and discussed new condition and new problem confronted in the employment of the university students in the new era and the method of strengthening the talent cultivation, industry-education integration and employment and entrepreneurship of university students between universities and enterprises.
Finally, our university officially concluded and signed the University-enterprise Cooperation Agreement with top 500 enterprises such as Lens Technology, Nice Group, etc. (Admission & Employment Guidance Office)
