[The 70th Anniversary of Founding] Chinese Knot Art Work Exhibition Was Inaugurated

On October 26, the final report exhibition and seminar of Cultivation of Inheritance, Innovation and Design Talents of Chinese Knot Artof China National Arts Fund were held in Lingnan Chuangxiang Corridor of our university. Chen Yuancai, the Executive Vice President of National Association of Women's Manual Knitting, Wang Lianhai, the expert of Famous Chinese Folk Arts and Crafts, Liu Guoquan, the Vice President of our university, etc. attended the opening ceremony.
The Vice President Liu Guoquan expressed welcome to all experts participating in the convention and exhibition, and expressed warm congratulations to the results obtained by 30 students participating in training, and hoped the knot art grows strong and carries forward.
The Executive Vice President Chen Yuancai indicated that the creative industry is the goal pursued by us in the speech and the important source of protecting non-material cultural heritage, and pointed out the importance of promoting the traditional skills and integrating the knot project of modern new element.
Professor Li Lifang, the leader of Cultivation of Inheritance, Innovation and Design Talents of Chinese Knot Artproject and the Secretary of the Party Committee of Design and Art Institute of our university, and indicated that after the collective training learning lasting for two months, 30 students from different careers in the whole country created over hundred knots art innovation works by applying 15 kinds of materials through innovation to perfectly express and achieve the expected goal and overall requirements of fund project.
The works exhibited this time applied the expressive elements of knot art in the living goods such as the bag accessories, jewelry, bookmark, wedding article package, etc. by applying the rich creativity ingenuity and pattern of manifestation and adopting the form language of highlighting the material mature and special aesthetic feeling. The dazzling works with different characteristics in the exhibition wall reflected the full combination of modern creation concept and traditional knot art so that the viewers could fully feel the infinite vitality of folk art. The exhibition lasted for one month.
