Six First-level Disciplines of Our University Are Included in the "China's Best Discipline Ranking List in 2019" of Shanghai Ranking

"China's Best Discipline Ranking in 2019" of Shanghai Ranking was released officially on October 30. 6 first-level disciplines (Management Science and Engineering, Applied Economics, Business Administration, Science of Law, Theoretical Economics and Marxist Theory) in our university was included. "China's Best Discipline Ranking in 2019" includes 96 first-level disciplines. The ranking objects of the disciplines are all colleges and universities with the academic postgraduate degree authorized units in the first-level disciplines and the colleges and universities with the discipline ranking top 50% are published. A total of 4,986 disciplines from 460 colleges and universities are in the rank list.
The specific conditions of the 6 first-level disciplines that are in the rank list are as follows: Management Science and Engineering ranked top 20 for the first time in the whole country, with percentile section ranking top 9% and ranked top 2 in the colleges and universities in the province. Applied Economics ranked top 54 in the whole country and the top 21%, which ranked top 2 in the colleges and universities of the province; Business Administration ranked top 90 in the whole country and top 30%, and its ranking increased by 38 than that in 2018. It ranked top 4 in the colleges and universities in the province. Science of Law ranked top 76 in the whole country and the top 37%, which ranked top 5 in the colleges and universities of the province; Theoretical Economics ranked top 45 in the whole country and the top 38%, which ranked top 4 in the colleges and universities of the province; Marxist Theory ranked top 87 in the whole country and the top 25%, which ranked top 8 in the colleges and universities in the province.
"China' Best Discipline Ranking" is a dynamic monitoring system of discipline development level of colleges and universities developed by Shanghai Ranking in 2015 to analyze the level and development trends of the disciplines. This system adopts more than 30 key indexes reflecting the discipline competiveness, such as advanced talents, scientific research projects, achievement awards, academic papers, talent cultivation, etc. to track and measure the real-time performance and relative positions of several thousand disciplines of colleges and universities in China.
