President & Academician Chen Xiaohong Visited Teacher Representatives on the Eve of Teachers' Day

On the eve of the 35thTeachers' Day, President Chen Xiaohong, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, accompanied by the head of Personnel Department, visited some teacher representatives on behalf of the university and extended greetings to them.
When visiting teacher representatives, President & Academician Chen Xiaohong inquired about the work and life of Professor Liu Siwei, the senior professor, first-class honorary professor and discipline construction consultant in detail, and thanked him for his hard work and selfless dedication to the development of the university. She also required all faculty to learn and carry forward his lofty dedication, rigorous academic style and simple attitude towards life, to jointly promote the prosperity and development of the education.
Professor Liu Siwei highly praised the achievements of the university in recent years, was very pleased with the high-quality leap forward development of the university, and also expressed the honor and pride of being a teacher of Hunan University of Technology and Business.
President Chen hoped that all teachers would further strengthen scientific and technological cooperation with local governments and industrial enterprises, vigorously promote the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, make greater achievements in talent cultivation, scientific research and serving the local economy, boost the "Double First-rate" construction, and provide intellectual support for serving the national strategy and regional economic development.
