Twelve Majors of Our University Were Selected as the First-class Undergraduate Major Construction Programs in Hunan Province in 2019

Recently, according to Announcement of Evaluation Results on the First-class Undergraduate Major Construction in Hunan Province in 2019issued by Provincial Education Department, twelve majors including Business Administration, Trade Economics, Law, Economics, Finance, English, Information and Computing Science, Computer Science and Technology, Accounting, Logistics Management, Tourism Management and Visual Communication Design were selected as the first batch of first-class undergraduate major construction programs of our university in Hunan Province, and they were recommended to participate in the selection of national first-class undergraduate major construction programs by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China this year.
In April this year, in accordance with the spirit of the Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China on the Implementation of the "Plan" for First-class Undergraduate Major Construction(XJT [2019] No. 138) and the Action Plan for First-class Undergraduate Education of HNUC(2019-2021) (XHF [2019] No. 8) issued by the Education Department of Hunan Province, the university carried out the recommendation and selection of the first-class undergraduate major construction programs at the provincial level in 2019. After the recommendation, evaluation of internal and external experts, deliberation of Steering Committee, and approval of the university, 13 majors such as "Business Administration", etc. were recommended to participate in the evaluation of the provincial first-class undergraduate professional construction programs in 2019, and 12 of them finally won the provincial project approval, with the project approval rate of 92.3%.
Next, the university would take the opportunity of selecting provincial first-class undergraduate major construction programs to promote the major cross integration, construction and upgrading, cultivate characteristic and advantageous professional clusters, and constantly improve the professional construction level.
