[The 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the University] Our University Held a Concert of "Sailing" and a Report-back Performance by University Student Chorus and Symphony Orchestra

In the evening of Jun. 26, the Concert of "Sailing" and a Report-back Performance by University Student Chorus and Symphony Orchestra were held in the great hall. President & Academician Chen Xiaohong, Vice Presidents Peng Jinqing and Zeng Fuqiu shared the music feast with teachers and students.

In her speech, President & Academician Chen Xiaohong, on behalf of the university, extended the warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to musicians and affirmed construction effect of the university student chorus and symphony orchestra. She said that only when science and art blend could excellent talents be cultivated. There would be a larger and more beautiful concert hall for everyone to perform in the Business and Management Building to be completed soon. She encouraged the university student chorus and symphony orchestra to continue to improve and bring more and more wonderful performances to the whole university. She also awarded our Letter of Appointment of Visiting Professor to Professor Deng Dongyuan, Expert Wen Zhengqiu, Expert Liu Jianhui, Professor Fu Liaoyuan and Associate Professor Ouyang Qin.

The concert kicked off in the magnificent chorus - Towards Rejuvenation. The string ensemble (A Long Time agoand Hunter) was melodious, and the male quartet (Lake Baikaland Luciano Pavarotti) was full of cadence. Professor Fu Liaoyuan's soprano solo (Sunshine Remixand On the Expanding Road) and Associate Professor Ouyang Qin's soprano solo (Ballet in Springand "Rhythm of Life of Maira) were tuneful. The tenor solo (Never Forget the Original Intention) was passionate, and the dance (What a Great Worldand Jiuer) were wonderful. The chorus (Night in the Desert, The Joy of Snow Flake, Legend of The Dragon, Song of Guerillasand My Motherland and Me) was sometimes youthful and lively and sometimes solemn and magnificent, and the chorus (School Song of Hunan University of Technology and Business) lighted the feelings of loving the university of teachers and students.

Academician Chen Xiaohong sang I Can Flywith students, which pushed the concert to the climax.

The concert ended perfectly in the high and affectionate chorus - Song of Our Homeland.
