Dear students, parents, teachers and friends:
On the occasion of the 70thanniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the 100thanniversary of "the May 4thMovement", the 70thanniversary of the founding of the university, and the year of renaming Hunan University of Technology and Business, the 2019-class graduates have successfully completed their studies and embarked on a new journey with honor. On behalf of Secretary Yayang, leaders and senior teachers of the university, I would like to extend my warm congratulations to you and congratulate you on becoming the first batch of graduates of Hunan University of Technology and Business!
I would also like to extend a warm welcome to the parents attending today's graduation ceremony and express my heartfelt thanks to hard-working teachers cultivating talents!
Hunan University of Technology and Business is the fourth business university in China and the only one technology & business and finance & economics university named "university" in Hunan Province!
Three or four years of study passed in a flash, but we had a strong friendship. It seemed like just a moment from the innocent evening party to welcome newcomers to the tearful graduation ceremony. In a flash, you graduated! Today, I felt very happy and proud to see your self-confidence, self-improvement and self-reliance.
In the past four years, you spent your youth and made a magnificent turn in Hunan University of Technology and Business, drawing a rainbow of life and decorating the sky of your alma mater with colorful colors. The spirit of Hunan University of Technology and Business would be endless because of you. We love you!
I want to say that: youth is the most beautiful and forever!
University time is the most unforgettable. You have been working together in the same direction with your increasingly powerful motherland in recent years. You are still very young, and young people have your thinking and language. In the past few years, I have often heard you say: "the world is so big, and I want to see it", "although we have a good face, we rely on our brilliance", "lucky dog", "Buddha-like", "hardcore", "naughty", "confirm the eyes" and "lose my calorie"... I have confirmed through your eyes that you are the people who I hope!
It's you that makes hot words so popular and outdated soon. You like to create, love novelty, seek excitement, and lament that time flies from time to time. In today's special occasion, you can try to slow down, listen to and understand the keywords ("youth", "marathon", "relay baton", "future" and "blooming", etc.) defined by you. We put these words together, that is: you will start a new marathon, and you will take over the relay baton of serving the motherland and the society, to embrace the infinite future and bloom a beautiful life!
The future is infinite, but life is short. How can we make life more beautiful? I can't help asking:
when you become a businessman, can you do not sell forged and fake commodities all your life and operate the business with integrity?

Firstly, I hope that you can keep the original intention
Once a student told me that the times changed quickly and the ideas were too diverse. It's becoming more and more difficult to stick to the belief, keep the original intention and carry forward the spirit under such circumstances. This showed that he/she was concerned about the mind, thought and made efforts. Of course, people should not only pursue the attractive appearance, but also have a noble soul. On the life journey, people should not rush towards the wealth of money and material, leaving the spirit and soul beside the road; people cannot forget the ideals and human nature when facing the temptation of fame and wealth.
I told him/her that: you need to be proud of yourself and what you have done when you look back on your life. What really makes you proud is not material satisfaction and wealth of money, but that you always keep an innate mind more valuable than gold! According to a global survey statistics, 92% of people regret that they did not work hard enough when they were young. If you do not want to lament "where have all the time been" when you are old, you can only form the habit of excellent diligence and civilization!
In recent years, I have visited Huawei, Sany group, Sunward Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., etc. and many outstanding enterprises founded by alumni. What impresses me is that struggle and innovation are their core culture and successful experience. I remember Ren Zhengfei once said: "hardworking is the soul and theme of Huawei culture." "We should dare to embrace subversion. It is a fried egg when the egg is broken from the outside to the inside, otherwise, it is a peacock." An alumnus also said that: in order to change fate, we have to work hard; People who are much better than us are struggling. There is no reason for us to be comfortable. He said that he should thank his alma mater, because they formed the diligence and innovation in the university, and had a core competitiveness!
You should not forget that in the early days of New China, many scientific and technological workers, such as Qian Xuesen, Deng Jiaxian, Guo Yonghuai, Huang Xuhua and Lin Junde et al. were deeply involved in the feelings of home and country, studied science and technology, and worked day and night to test and seek. They only could create conditions and produced the instruments by themselves. There was no information, but they studied hard, and created the miracles of "Two Bombs and One Satellite" with the extremely limited scientific research means.

The psychologist William James said that: "sow next activity, harvest a kind of habit; sow next habit, harvest a kind of personality; sow the next personality, harvest a kind of destiny." Hugo once said that: "there is a prospect greater than the sea, and it is the sky; there is a prospect greater than the sky, and it is the human soul."
