2019 Graduation Ceremony of Hunan University of Technology and Business Was Held

In the morning of Jun. 26, the 2019 Graduation Ceremony and Degree Awarding Ceremony of Hunan University of Technology and Business were held in the gymnasium. President & Academician Chen Xiaohong, Senior Professors Liu Siwei and Wang Minggao, Vice Presidents Peng Jinqing, Zeng Fuqiu, Li Dingjun and Liu Guoquan, University Leader Nie Guoqing, Gan Dejian and Chen Ming, members of the Party Committee of the University, attended, and witnessed the glory and joy of 2019-class graduates together with the heads of secondary schools and relevant functional departments, as well as representatives of teachers, counselors and parents. The ceremony was presided over by Vice President Zeng Fuqiu.
The ceremony kicked off with the national anthem. Vice President Peng Jinqing read out the Decision of Hunan University of Technology and Business on Approving the Graduation of 99 Master Degree Candidates Including Xiao Yinfeiand the Decision of Hunan University of Technology and Business on Granting the Master Degree To 98 Postgraduates Including Xiao Yinfei. Vice President Liu Guoquan read out the Decision of Hunan University of Technology and Business on Approving the Graduation of Bai Chongzhi and Other Studentsand the Decision of Hunan University of Technology and Business on Granting the Bachelor's Degree To Bai Chongzhi and Other Students. Vice President Li Dingjun read out the provincial commendation notice for outstanding graduates. The participating university leaders awarded the honorary certificate for the 2019-class provincial outstanding graduate representatives.
Fu Xiaoyu, representative of graduates, Li Xian from School of Economy & Trade, Tang Jingling from School of Computer Science & Information Technology, and Wang Yu from School of Finance, described their four-year growth and harvest, and expressed their gratitude and blessings to their alma mater.
"We were the first batch of students of Hunan University of Technology and Business. Together with our alma mater, we entered a new stage and journey. We would work harder and move forward." Learning model Fu Xiaoyu shared the wonderful time in university from bachelor to master. "That time of painstaking and joyful entrepreneurship came out of the cocoon and became a butterfly, and became precious experience and life experience, as well as the source of my strong foundation to go to the society." The business representative Li Xian sighed with emotion. The experience of supporting education made Tang Jingling full of the sense of responsibility and mission of the youth. She said that "I can't help but want to bring the brilliance and knowledge I learned in university to the places where it is needed, so that life would be more brilliant in dedication." Wang Yu, a graduate supporting Xinjiang's development, said that he was determined to support Xinjiang and became a new generation of "educated youth". He would stand like Populus diversifolia in Xinjiang and devoted his youth to the most needed places of the motherland.
The great achievements of students are inseparable from the cultivation of teachers. Luo Manyi of School of Economy & Trade, as the teacher representative, congratulated the students on behalf of all teachers, raised expectations, and wished them to strive for a new chapter of life with a life-long and learning attitude, ideal and passion, as well as persevering spirit.
At the ceremony, President & Academician Chen Xiaohong delivered a passionate speech. "I would like to congratulate you on becoming the first batch of graduates of Hunan University of Technology and Business. Three or four years of study passed in a flash, but we had a strong friendship. It seemed like just a moment from the innocent evening party to welcome newcomers to the tearful graduation ceremony. In a flash, you graduated! Today, I felt very happy and proud to see your self-confidence, self-improvement and self-reliance. In the past four years, you spent your youth and made a magnificent turn in Hunan University of Technology and Business, drawing a rainbow of life and decorating the sky of your alma mater with colorful colors. The spirit of Hunan University of Technology and Business would be endless because of you. You would start a new marathon, and you would take over the relay baton of serving the motherland and the society, to embrace the infinite future and bloom a beautiful life! "
The future is infinite, but life is short. How can we make life more beautiful? She stressed that as an individual in the society, we should have self-esteem, self-confidence, self-reliance and self-improvement, not be complacent, arrogant, selfish and self; roads are countless, but safety is foremost. In case of unregulated conducts, loved ones end up in tears. On a long life road, the life of "youth without any regrets, middle-aged without resentment, and elderly without regrets" is the most substantial life.
She gave "three-building" as a farewell message. Firstly, she hoped that students could keep the original intention. Namely, keep in mind the pursuit of the highest virtue, likability and amity at absolute perfection, show the value of university students, and let the heart shine in the spiritual highland! Next, she hoped that students could be diligent and creative. Namely, strive to form a learning habit, live and learn, strive to achieve the unity of knowledge and action, and match your ambition with your ability; try to make life full of infinite possibilities through study, and become colorful! Finally, she hoped that students could establish a pattern and enlarge your life. She hoped that students could have an overall direction, vision and tolerance, never lose your curiosity for life and passion of pursuit of excellence, and make your life as vast as the sea! She also hoped that students could be able to tolerate disappointment, pain, disability and different civilizations and thoughts as much as possible.
She said affectionately: "when you step into the future with noble soul and feelings, and improve the society and the world with your thoughts and actions, this will be your best return to your alma mater! I believe that you will all become the pride and business card of your alma mater! Please remember that there was a university pulling out all stops for you!" President Chen encouraged students to work together, hand in hand, never give up, go far away, go to the battlefield and achieve the victory together with the surging Yangtze River! She wishes the students a bright future and a beautiful life!
At the ceremony, all 2019-class graduates ushered in the most ceremonial moment - participating university leaders and teachers awarded degree certificates to the graduates. Every moment of shaking hands, turning the tassel, crowning, granting certificates and taking photos was the witness and affirmation of the growth of students.
Holding a heavy bachelor's certificate and graduation certificate, the 2019-class graduates have integrated their friendship with their alma mater and teachers and friends into their melodious songs and staked in their firm pledge.
A song - Original Dreamfully showed the feeling of farewell between graduates and their alma mater, and expressed the students' bright vision for the future. President & Academician Chen Xiaohong sang My Motherland and Mewith the graduates, which pushed the atmosphere to the climax. Everyone waved the national flag and sang for the motherland.
The ceremony was successfully concluded in the school song of Hunan University of Technology and Business. The 2019-class students set sail from Hunan University of Technology and Business, embarked on a new journey, released their youthful passion in the struggle, and achieved their life dreams.
