On Jun. 22, the donation ceremony of the first batch of alumni for the 70thanniversary of our university was held in Yingcai Lecture Hall of the library. President & Academician Chen Xiaohong, University Leaders Xia Jichun, Peng Jinqing and Li Dingjun, alumni representatives, heads of relevant secondary schools and student representatives attended.
The donation amount was RMB 300,000 donated by Ye Hongxin, alumnus of 1980-class Pricing Class Six, Executive Director of Hunan Jiahui Group and President of Loudi Alumni Association and Huaihua Alumni Association, RMB 5 million donated by Tan Xiancai, alumnus of 1985-class Accounting Class Five, General Manager of Baker Tilly China Certified Public Accountants, President of Beijing Alumni Association and President of Alumni Association of School of Accounting, RMB 300,000 donated by Yi Chubin, alumnus of 1988-class Business Administration Class Three, Chairman of Shanghai Zhenchu Trade Co., Ltd. and President of Shanghai Alumni Association, RMB 200,000 donated by Wei Hongzhang, alumnus of 1988-class Accounting Class Eleven and Chairman of Shenzhen Yiyu Dinghong Industrial Co., Ltd., RMB 1.4 million donated by Huang Xingyao, alumnus of 1992-class Business Administration Class Eight, Chairman of Hunan Tongzhou Commercial Trading Company and President of Changsha Alumni Association, RMB 2 million donated by Ning Songkai, alumnus of 1996-class Marketing Class 9411, Responsible Person of China National Traditional Chineses Medinine Co., Ltd. and Convener of Dongguan Alumni Association, RMB 200,000 donated by Deng Yuejin, alumnus of 1998-class Marketing Class 9501S and Chairman of Foshan Nanhai Omisa Underwear Co., Ltd., RMB 10 million donated by Chen Yong, alumnus of 2005-class Computer Class 0211S, CEO of Guangzhou Yaowan Entertainment Network Technology Co., Ltd., Director of Shanghai Feibao Culture Media Co., Ltd. and President of Alumni Association of School of Computer Science & Information Technology of our university.
President & Academician Chen Xiaohong signed a donation agreement with all alumni on behalf of the university and issued them a donation certificate.

After the donation ceremony, the alumni spoke one after another, recalled their study time in the alma mater, and expressed their gratitude and blessing to the alma mater. Ye Hongxin said that "the university has grown from small-scale to large-scale, from weak to strong, from general university to key university, from HNUC to Hunan University of Technology and Business. As a student, I feel very proud!" Tan Xiancai expressed his gratitude to the alma mater and congratulated the alma mater on the achievements. He said emotionally that: "as alumni, everyone should do something for our alma mater, which is our duty." Wei Hongzhang said that: "I love my alma mater very much. I always pay attention to her development, and I hope the university will be better and better." Huang Xingyao said that: "we want to do our best to support the development of our alma mater and the learning of our brother-sister-school students. I hope our alumni can closely unite around our alma mater." Ning Songkai said that: "I have learned a lot of professional knowledge here, which is the basis of my own business management. When I have the ability, the first thing is to contribute to my alma mater. Today, I finally realized my long-cherished wish again. " Deng Yuejin thanked the alma mater for the cultivation and said that he would continue to help the development of the university. Chen Yong entrusted his classmates to convey his blessing to the alma mater. President & Academician Chen Xiaohong gave a speech, warmly welcomed all alumni, and expressed sincere thanks for the generous donation of the first batch of eight alumni on behalf of more than 20,000 teachers and students of the university.
She said that the donation ceremony was of great significance and was the first-batch alumni donation after the renaming of Hunan University of Technology and Business. Through the joint efforts of several generations of students of Hunan University of Technology and Business, we successfully became the key university, renamed university and established the doctoral program. All businesses of the university made gratifying achievements, which were inseparable from the active contributions and strong support of the alumni. On the occasion of the 70thanniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 70thanniversary of the founding of the university, the majority of alumni have generously contributed to the alma mater, making students deeply feel that they are full of the patriotism, the feelings of alma mater, and the spirit of dedication and innovation. The support of alumni to alma mater will promote development of Hunan University of Technology and Business, and also set a good example for brother-sister-school students.
President Chen said that she would make good use of the funds donated by alumni, and strive to cultivate more high-quality industrial and commercial elites with patriotism, responsibility and ambition to serve the society and contribute to the country. She encouraged the students to learn from the excellent alumni, inheriting their excellent qualities. In times of hardship, one should treasure himself at first; in times of success, he is expected to benefit others. We should contribute to the country, society and alma mater. Finally, she wished students a prosperous career and a happy life. She believed that with the joint efforts, the future of Hunan University of Technology and Business would be better.
