In the evening of Jun. 10, "Elegant Sanxiang · Symphony Played on Campus -- Special Concert of Changsha Symphony Orchestra" sponsored by the Propaganda Department of the C.C.P. Committee of Hunan Province, Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and Hunan Performance Group, and organized by Changsha Symphony Orchestra, Communist Youth League and HNUC Committee, was held in the gymnasium of our university. President & Academician Chen Xiaohong, Vice Presidents Peng Jinqing and Zeng Fuqiu, Chen Liying, former Secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission of our university, former Vice President Yang Hong, teachers and students shared the music festival.

Before the performance, President & Academician Chen Xiaohong delivered a speech, expressing warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to the musicians on behalf of the university. She said that Changsha Symphony Orchestra "jointly built by province and city" had a glorious history of more than 20 years. Under the leadership of regimental commander Xiao Ming, it has become a first-class symphony orchestra with great influence at home and abroad, and a shining cultural card of Hunan Province. She said that the integration of science and art could better cultivate talents. The symphonic music was the symphony of dreams, struggle and strength! Let's gather greater strength and play a more sonorous and shocking symphony in the symphony of history, present and future, in the symphony of us, in the symphony of dreams, struggles and leaps!

The concert kicked off in the orchestral music - Ensemble of Great Tunes of the World, and the magnificent rhythm and shocked melody aroused the enthusiasm of the audience. The famous violin song - The Butterfly Loversvividly interpreted the softness of flute, the fullness and mellowness of cello and the lightness and softness of violin. The solo - Velvet Flowerwas affectionate and melodious; I Love You Chinawas surging and exciting; Liuyang Riverwas beautiful and melodious; Ballet in Springwas graceful, making the audience intoxicated. The first movement of Ruslan and Lyudmila Overture, My Motherland and Meand Symphony No. 5 in C Minorpushed the scenic atmosphere to a climax.








In the warm applause, the orchestra returned to the stage and played the classics such as Glory, Original Extended Remixand Radetzky March. The applause lasted for a long time.
