Xie Junyi, Deputy Secretary of the League Committee, and His Delegation Came to Our University for the Investigation

On Jun. 4, Xie Junyi, Deputy Secretary of the League Committee, and his delegation came to our university to investigate the Communist Youth League work. Tang Yayang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the University, Vice President Zeng Fuqiu, and Zeng Jing, Secretary of the Youth League Committee attended the symposium. More than 20 league members and cadres from the Student Union, Youth League Committee, Learning Club, Youth Volunteer Association, Sub-CYL committee of secondary schools, Student Union Branch and classes also attended. The meeting was presided over by Vice President Zeng Fuqiu.

Secretary Tang Yayang welcomed Deputy Secretary Xie Junyi and his delegation, and thanked the League Committee for its long-term care and support for the Communist Youth League work of our university. He pointed out that the league members and cadres should actively reflect, unify the knowledge and action, enhance the pattern, strengthen self-confidence, and carry out the "six requirements" put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping to the youth in practical action. The participating league members and cadres should speak enthusiastically and put forward thoughts and suggestions to the research team in a practical and realistic way.
Deputy Secretary Xie Junyi fully affirmed the Communist Youth League work of our university and spoke highly of achievements made by our university in the aspects of youth ideological guidance, Communist Youth League work reform and construction of learning clubs. He pointed out that we should attach great importance to the ideological and political work of the youth, be strongly vigilant and try to prevent formalism and bureaucracy in the ideological and political work, understand the youth, utilize the "small, special and micro" methods, and carry out the ideological and political work of the youth in a popular way. He stressed that the Communist Youth League cadres should improve own quality and professional ability and become mentors for the youth; a number of backbones and "hard cores" should be cultivated to give full play to the pioneering and exemplary role of the league cadres among the youth; we should take care of the youth and provide them with a good environment for growth.
The research team conducted in-depth exchanges with the participating league members and cadres on the ideological and political guidance of the youth, ideological work and new media work. (Yi Zhihua)
