The 10th Hunan University Student Marketing Planning Competition Was Held in Our University

On Jun. 2, the final of the 10thHunan University Student Marketing Planning Competition of "Shangyuan Technology" Cup sponsored by Hunan Institute of Marketing and HNUC and organized by School of Business Administration was held in Yingcai Lecture Hall. University Leader Nie Guoqing, Senior Professor Liu Siwei, Huang Fuhua, President of Hunan Institute of Marketing and Dean of School of Business Administration of our university, Li Jianxin, Vice President of Hunan Institute of Marketing and Professor of Changsha University of Science and Technology, Tan Weiwen, General Manager of Shangyuan Science and Technology Biology Co., Ltd., and the principals of relevant secondary schools attended the opening ceremony.

University Leader Nie Guoqing said in his speech that the competition aimed to deepen talent cultivation requirements "based on the ability and professional development" of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, establish a mechanism of practical marketing teaching and promoting learning through competition, promote the reform of marketing practice course system and content in colleges and universities, and guide and cultivate the marketing innovation, planning and adaptability of university students.

General Manager Tan Weiwen expressed his gratitude to our university for hosting this competition and introduced the development of Shangyuan Technology Company, hoping that more ambitious youth would join in poverty alleviation and welcoming outstanding young people to work in Shangyuan Technology Company.

After the selection through preliminary contest, intermediary contest and final in university in the early stage, 12 teams from colleges and universities in Hunan Province have been promoted to the provincial final. On the spot of the final, the participating teams demonstrated their own marketing schemes in the form of PPT lectures and defense from the perspective of product features, market positioning, marketing strategies and marketing objectives based on the actual situation of the company.

After fierce competition, "Zuiyingwu" Team from HNUC, with the theme of "Light Life Sharer", won the special prize. "Jiujiujiu" Team from Hunan Institute of Engineering and "Qihuang" Team from Hunan University of Chinese Medicine won the first prize. "Tianchangdijiu" Team from HNUC, "Jiemeiwansui Team" from Hunan University of Technology and "Educated Youth Entrepreneurial Team" from Changsha University won the second prize. "Youjiuyougushi" Team from Hunan University of Humanities, Science and Technology, "Dada Team" from Changsha University of Science and Technology, "Jiuzhongqing" from Changsha Commerce & Tourism College and Hunan Vocational College of Commerce won the third prize.

Taking actual needs of industrial poverty alleviation in poverty-stricken areas as the proposition, this competition combined intellectual resources with poverty alleviation themes, aimed to help Shangyuan Technology solve development problems and further assisted industrial poverty alleviation in terms of cultivating student's marketing planning ability based on the major national policy of the targeted poverty alleviation, and combined with our university's poverty alleviation.
