President, Academician Chen Xiaohong and Her Delegation Went to Dublin Institute of Technology to Conduct Academic Cooperation and Discussion

On the morning of April 2th, the international academic cooperation seminar between HNUC and Dublin Institute of Technology was held in a friendly atmosphere. Academician Chen Xiaohong, President of HNUC, and the Vice President Michael Devereux of Dublin Institute of Technology, Dean Dre Lillis, Dean of the Computer Science School, Dominic Dillane, Dean of the Tourism and Hospitality Management School, and some department heads and teacher representatives conducted frank and in-depth exchanges and discussions.

In the cooperative seminar, Vice-President Michael Devereux expressed warm welcome to the arrival of Academician Chen Xiaohong and the entourage, and introduced the progress of the doctoral training program that has been carried out. Academician Chen Xiaohong discussed the issues in the process of cooperation and proposed the cooperation intention of the two sides in the next stage of postdoctoral exchange, master student joint training, teacher exchange visits and scientific research cooperation, and received positive response from Dublin University of Technology. Extensive agreement was reached on expanding the types of cooperation projects, promoting students' English proficiency, and deepening scientific research cooperation. It is also agreed to discuss the specific implementation plan during the visit of the Dublin University of Technology delegation to HNUC in June this year.

After the academic cooperation seminar, President, Academician Chen Xiaohong, on behalf of UNUC, invited both Prof. Deirdre Lillis, Dean of the Computer Science School at Dublin University of Technology and Prof. Paul Doyle, Associate Dean, as visiting professors.

Afterwards, Academician Chen Xiaohong and her entourage visited the Environmental Sustainability and Health Research Center at the Dublin University of Technology, and conducted in-depth understanding and exchanges on the cooperation mechanism of production, education and research, and laboratory construction with the research center.

Since 2016, HNUC and Dublin University of Technology have carried out fruitful cooperation in scientific research, high-level personnel training, and joint research centers, and have taken a key step in the international cooperation of universities in our province to make positive contributions in promoting innovation leading, opening up and rising, which attracted great attention from provincial leaders and universal praise from all walks of life. (Big Data and Internet Innovation Institute)
