[Lushan Grand Lecture Hall] Academician Liu He of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Lectured at HNUC

 The 91th lecture of the Lushan Grand Lecture Hall was held at the Big Data and Internet Innovation Institute on March 23th.Academician Liu He from China Petroleum Exploration and Development Research Institute was invited to give a lecture. The theme of the lecture was “Strategic Research on the Coordinated Development of Energy and Water in Ecological Security”. The lecture was presided over by the President, Academician Chen Xiaohong, and the Vice President Li Dingjun. Relevant personnel of the party and administration office, the sci-research office, and all the teachers and team members of the Big Data and Internet Innovation Institute participated in the lecture.

Academician Liu He, first explained the importance of the coordinated development of energy and water in ecological security from the aspects of water resources situation, energy situation, reverse distribution of energy and water resources, and complex ties between energy-water resources and climate change. Then, analyzed from the perspective of technology research and development from the aspects of system concept, system goal and implementation plan, the challenges and practices of energy management under the support of big data are expounded, and the key technologies for oil and gas field development and water saving. Finally, Academician Liu He shared the research results of the coupling of hydrological model and climate system, the assessment of energy and water climate change impact and adaptation technology research and energy and water collaborative management decision support.

Academician Liu used a large amount of data and charts to illustrate the relationship between energy and water development in ecological security, and demonstrated the importance of coordinated development of energy and water in ecological security. With profundity and easy-to-understand approach, information in the lecture was large, strong professionalism and vivid explanations.
