[Lushan Lecture Hall] Professor Li Guangyi from Xiangtan University Delivered a Lecture Titled "Analysis of China-Africa Friendly Cooperation and Development in the New Era" in our University

On the afternoon of Oct. 16, Professor Li Guangyi from Xiangtan University Institute of Marxism, a senior expert on international issues, was invited to make Lecture 78 of Lushan Lecture Hall titled "Analysis of China-Africa Friendly Cooperation and Development in the New Era" All teachers of Institute of Marxism and representatives of teachers and students of other colleges listened to this lecture.

Professor Li Guangyi is a part-time professor of Party School under the direct authority of CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Working Committee Party School of colleges and universities, and Vice Chairman of Chinese Society of African Historical Studies. In addition, he also serves as Director of International Relations and African Studies Center of Xiangtan University and master's supervisor. He has been engaged in the teaching and research of international relations and African studies for a long time. He is the person in charge of the "Eighth Five-year Plan" and "Ninth Five-year" projects in China, one of the famous experts on international relations and African issues, and an academic leader of international relations and African studies.

Professor Li deeply expounded the significance of China-African relationship, the future of China-Africa cooperation and other issues from four aspects, namely, "China needs Africa, and Africa needs China", "China and Africa Work Together To Create a New Cooperation Mode", "Look East - Another Vivid Example of China-Africa Friendly Cooperation" and "Eliminating Negative Factors to Create an Indestructible "China-African Community with a Shared Future". He pointed out that an important principle of China's foreign policy is "Great power are key, neighboring countries are the primary, developing countries are the foundation and multilateral organizations are the platform". He believed that the development of China and Africa interacts with each other.

With humor, wit, vivid language, clear logic and passion, the meticulous thoughts and impassioned discourse of Professor Li make the present teachers and students benefit a lot. During the lecture, the interaction was frequent and the responses from teachers and students were overwhelming.
