President Chen Xiaohong was Appointed as Member of National Distinguished Youth Review Committee (Final Review) and Member of Expert Advisory Committee of Science Department of National Natural Science Foundation

 On Sep. 21, the meeting of 2018 national distinguished youth science foundation review committee of National Natural Science Foundation (referred to as Natural Science Foundation) was held in Beijing. President Academician Chen Xiaohong was invited to attend the meeting as a member of Review Committee. The meeting of the Review Committee was held to conduct the final review of the national distinguished youth foundation project, and Review Committee usually consists of famous scientists, engineers and technical experts, as well as management experts of relevant national departments and ministries. The main responsibility of the Review Committee is to evaluate the candidates for the national distinguished youth foundation, and study major issues in this foundation assistance.

        On Sep. 26, NSFC Department of Management Sciences held the 7th expert advisory committee and 2018 annual meeting in Beijing. The meeting was presided over by Professor Wu Qidi, Director of Department of Management Sciences and Expert Advisory Committee, and Academician Hou Zengqian, Deputy Director of National Natural Science Foundation, attended the meeting and issued the appointment letter of the Expert Advisory Committee to Academician Chen Xiaohong. The Expert Advisory Committee of Department of Management Sciences is responsible for providing suggestions and guiding opinions on the strategic funding decision-making and management work of Department of Management Sciences, such as priority area and funding layout, major research plan and approval of major projects and discipline development strategy.
