The Feasibility Study Expert Meeting of Major Subjects of Provincial Social Science Fund Was Held in Our university

On the morning of March 12, Provincial Social Science Fund’s Feasibility Study Meeting of Major Subject-- "study and explain the spirit of the 11th Provincial Party Congress" was held in meeting room 401 of the Second Office Mansion of our university. Xiao Junhua, member of Propaganda Department of Provincial Party Committee, deputy director of the News Office of the provincial government, and leader of expert group, presided over the meeting.

Tang Yayang, the Party Secretary, Wang Minggao, the vice president, Xu Chenguang, former executive deputy secretary of Provincial Departments Work Committee, Li Xianji, deputy inspector of Policy Research Office of Provincial Party Committee, Deng Qingke, deputy director of the Provincial Party Committee lecturer delegation, Zhou Xiaomao, vice president of the Provincial Academy of Social Sciences, Prof. Liu Maosong of Hunan Normal University, and the relevant representatives of Social Science Planning Office of Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department, Hunan Normal University and Xiangtan University attended the meeting.

First of all, the vice president Wang Minggao made a welcome speech to extend sincere thanks and warm welcome to the experts who came to our university to guide the proposal meeting. Wang Minggao briefed delegates on the University development and the University's goal of "Three Promotions", and hoped that the content of the subject could be improved continuously through the guidance of experts, so as to advance the work in every aspect.

This conference consisted of two sections. The subject “Study on Unswervingly Promoting the Province's Comprehensive and Strict Management of the Party through the Combination of Ideological Construction and Institutional Governance” charged by Secretary Tang Yayang, and the subject “Study on the Implementation of the Strategy of Innovation-led, Opening up and Rising in Hunan” charged by Tang Yuwen, deputy director and researcher of the development and research center of the provincial government, were demonstrated in the first phase.The subject “Study on Development Vision of Constructing a Rich, Beautiful, Happy and New Hunan” charged by Prof. He Liangan, the deputy director of Philosophy Department of Provincial Party School, and the subject “Study on Focusing on the Construction of ‘a Province with Five Strengths’ to Ensure Scheduled Building a Moderately Prosperous Society in All Respects ” were demonstrated in the second phase.

In the thesis proposal, secretary Tang Yayang unfolded his argumentation from eight aspects, including preface, constructing the Party with ideology, governing the Party with institution, unifying the Party with politics, rejuvenating the Party with organizations, strengthening the Party with work style, clearing the Party with uncorrupt governance, and conclusion. The participating experts affirmed secretary Tang Yayang’s research framework, demonstration, and preparatory work, and at the same time put forward the relevant recommendations -- he should focus on the combination of “constructing the Party with ideology” and “governing the Party with institution”, and the combination of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s most distinctive views with the practice of Hunan’s exploration.

At last, Xiao Junhua made a concluding speech. This collective expert demonstration meeting for proposal was unprecedented in Hunan province. The use of collective proposing made it more convenient for experts to discuss and guide the subjects, which had a positive impact on improving its quality. He hoped that through this expert demonstration meeting, the study on these subjects would be implemented, so as to facilitate every undertaking move ahead. (Text / Luo Tian, Picture/ Chen Lumin)
