HNUC’s Faculty Paper Firstly Received Funding From Theory Bureau of the Propaganda Department, the Central Committee of the CPC

On 27th December, we learned from School of Trade and Economy that Professor Shen Shibo received 20,000 yuan from Theory Bureau of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the CPC. This is the only one grant in Hunan Province bestowed in 2016.

Shen’s paper “To Set New Standards to Define Our Residents Income Gap” was previously published in Guangming Daily on 29th April, 2015. This paper was included by “Seeking Advice 2016--Ten Hot Issues Focused by Party Cadres” which is key research series of the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics. This paper acquired good response in academia and was highly recognized by experts and professionals.

It is reported that since 2008, Theory Bureau of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the CPC has organized experts to appraise and elect theoretical papers in major newspapers and journals such as People’s Daily, Guangming Daily, Economic Daily and Qiushi Journal. Those papers were published by research centers for theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics in 31 provincial areas.
