Huang Wei, Dean of School of Management, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Delivered a Lecture on Big Data Research in Our University

Recently, HNUC Lushan Forum invited Professor Huang Wei, dean of School of Management, Xi'an Jiaotong University, to deliver a lecture on "big data research: big data industry, business model and its management and application". The lecture was presided over by the president Chen Xiaohong. More than 200 teachers and students of School of Business Administration and Graduate School attended it.
As one of the scholars who engages in the big data research earliest in China, Professor Huang Wei has in-depth research on management communication based on new generation of information technology (CMC), group support system (GSS), big data management and data quality, e-government/e-commerce, IT and service outsourcing, key problems of IT/IS management, etc.
Professor Huang Wei displayed the symbolic scientific research achievements of big data around three parts - "big data research background", "big data management research and big data industry", and "big data management and application research", and made the detailed explanation with the western scientific and technological innovation port - wisdom study town as the example. He introduced the development of big data industry and big data management, and highlights the world's increasingly significant interest in big data under the economic globalization. Professor Huang Wei expounded big data medical treatment, data quality analysis and CDO application by introducing the data research center jointly established by Xi'an Jiaotong University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology in combination with the value of current big data under the realistic background.
President Chen Xiaohong pointed out in her summary speech that Xi'an Jiaotong University is a national key comprehensive research university, with management science and engineering, business administration and other disciplines ranking top among national colleges and universities. She expressed her thanks to the support of Xi'an Jiaotong University for our university's construction and development, and hoped to further enhance the exchange and cooperation. President Chen spoke highly of Professor Huang Wei's lecture, and thought that Professor Huang's research on the academic method of big data was novel and unique, and would greatly enlighten the present teachers and students.
Professor Huang Wei led the teachers and students of our university to see the development trend of big data in combination of big data research front at home and abroad, answered many questions and confusions of teachers and students, provided new perspectives for the teachers and students in the research directions, contents and ideas of big data research, and put forward the valuable references and suggestions for the further development of big data and Internet Innovation Research Institute of our university.
