Tang Yayang, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the University, Made the Investigation and Survey on the Library and Journal Work

On the afternoon of October 10, the secretary of the Party Committee Tang Yayang and university leader Nie Guoqing carried out the investigation and survey in the library and journal editorial department. Responsible person of Finance Department, Assets Department, Logistics Department and other departments participated in it.

The curator Yi Songzhi made the detailed report about three aspects of the basic situation, main achievements and current difficulties of the library. All participants carried out the in-depth discussion about the library construction and development.

Secretary Tang fully affirmed the contributions made by the library to the teaching and scientific research, discipline construction and other aspects. He pointed out that the library is the land of literature resources of a university, the place of cultivating talents, and the important site of reflecting academic level, style of study and scholarly atmosphere. The library shall make the deep thinking from the following aspects in the future: Firstly, how to master the procurement principle of paper resources and electronic resources reasonably; Secondly, how to make effective use of the resources of the library and resources of the reference room of all schools; Thirdly, how to reach the organic combination of library concept with humanity museum, art gallery and museum concept; Fourthly, how to realize the short-term goal and long-term benefit of the library. Secretary Tang hoped that all library staff can make efforts to make new and greater contributions to the teaching and scientific research of the university.

Zhou Junmin, the deputy director of journal editorial department, made the report about the basic situation, work prospects and difficulties of the journal.

Secretary Tang pointed out that for the journal work, we shall master the correct direction, adhere to the Party's ideological line and avoid the political mistakes; establish the journal with quality, and constantly improve the article quality and academic level of the journal; make innovative development, analyze the difference from C journal, try every means to overcome difficulties and gradually push ahead the ranking of the journal.
