2016 Postgraduate Commendation Conference Was Held Grandly in Our University

On the afternoon of September 27, 2016 Postgraduate Commendation Conference was held grandly in our university. President Chen Xiaohong, Yu Weiliang, Director of Provincial Academic Degree Committee, and the vice-president Wang Minggao, attended it. The participants also included the responsible leaders of secondary units about postgraduate cultivation, instructors of academic competition winners, postgraduate directors, head teacher of postgraduate, all teaching staff of Postgraduate School and all postgraduates. Zhou Xiancheng, the Dean of Postgraduate School served as the presenter.
Vice-president Wang Minggao read out Notice about Issuing Winners List of Hunan 2nd Colleges and Universities Postgraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling and Notice about Issuing Winning Teams and Winners List of "Bounden Duty Cup" in Hunan 2nd Colleges and University MPAcc Enterprise Cases Competition, which were issued by the Academic Degree Committee of Hunan Province People's Government, after that, the participating leaders presented merit certificates to the winning postgraduates teams, individuals and excellent instructors of our university.
Director Yu Weiliang congratulated the winning teams and individuals. He pointed out that the award rate of participating postgraduates of our university in the Provincial Mathematical Contest of Modeling reached up to 87.5%, ranked third in all provincial colleges and universities for two consecutive years when we competed with other 985 and 211 colleges and universities; Considering that only 6 teams were permitted to enter the finals from 72 participating teams in the MPAcc Enterprise Case Competition, it was worthy of affirming our third prize and excellent case team award in the finals. He thought our university had high-quality postgraduate cultivation and strong academic application ability, regardless of our short period since starting our postgraduate education. And our postgraduate discipline competition brand was forming, meanwhile, "HNUC Phenomenon" was continued. Director Yu hoped that postgraduates of our university not only lay their solid theoretical foundation, but also make efforts to develop their application ability, cultivate their graceful interests & hobbies and spice of life, as well as expand their life pattern.
President Chen Xiaohong congratulated the winning postgraduate teams, individuals and instructors on behalf of HNUC, then, expressed her gratitude for Provincial Academic Degree Committee's concern and supports to postgraduate education of our university. She sent several words to all postgraduates, firstly, make diligence and excellence become a habit, as the proverb goes, every journal begins with a single step, therefore, only step-by-step accumulation, postgraduates will find success gradually; Secondly, combine theory with practice closely, apply the learned knowledge to solve the study, life and working problems, and put forward innovative and feasible suggestions for the social development; Thirdly, be full of confidence, broaden horizons, establish the higher aspirations and form the lofty life pattern.
