Tang Yayang, the Secretary of the Party Committee Made Investigation and Survey in School of Law and Public Management and School of Continuing Education

On the morning of September 27, Tang Yayang, the secretary of the Party Committee, the vice-president Wang Minggao, came to School of Law and Public Management to make investigation and survey and guidance.

Liu Qixiang, the deputy group leader of School of Law and Public Management Merging Process Leading Group made a report about working conditions and the next working plan after merger on behalf of School of Law and Public Management. The Professor Xiang Yanzhong also reported the implementation situation of stable and orderly merger work and existing problems about School of Law and Public Management. The Professor Zeng Xing gave an account of teaching quality enhancement, teaching team construction and other related problems. The Professor Hu Yanxiang reported scientific research and postgraduate works.

After listening to the foregoing reports, the secretary Tang expressed his satisfaction with the orderly merger works, heavy tasks and high requirements conditions in the short period. He hoped that the leading group and all teaching staff of School of Law and Public Management can keep developing their high quality and highly tasteful spirits to build School of Law and Public Management into a model for in-depth integration, demonstration for teachers & students' behaviors as well as the fine example for comprehensive construction. As for the future development of School of Law and Public Management, he put forward the following anticipation, namely, "stand on high spot, form own characteristics, focus on focal points and make bright spots".

On the afternoon of September 27, Tang Yayang came to School of Continuing Education to inspect and guide the learning and education work about "two learn and one to do".

Xiong Weiping, the dean of School of Continuing Education, reported the related working conditions after combining with the learning and education activities of "two learn and one to do".

During the investigation and survey, the secretary Tang Yayang pointed out that the continuing education was an important part of higher education, university reputation, influence, radiating power, realizing responsibility fulfillment and community service by university. As for the "two learn and one to do", he put forward two specific requirements for School of Continuing Education: Avoid getting off the specified track and "look back" frequently; Highlight characteristic works and make bright spots; Establish long-term mechanism and realize healthy development for the Party construction. Finally, he hoped that School of Continuing Education can explore own development road, keep improving steadily and normatively, walk on the innovative, high-quality and characteristic road, as well as realize sustainable development.

After the conference, the secretary Tang Yayang inspected Nanya Student Dormitory in Lingnan Campus, gave full affirmation to the transformed computer rooms, classrooms and offices, and made a friendly communication with students. (Yin Qin, Qin Danghong)
