President Chen Xiaohong Was Invited to Make Speech on the Big Data-driven Management and Decision-making International Seminar

From September 19 to 22, the Big Data-driven Management and Decision-making International Seminar was held in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, which was sponsored by Management Sciences Department of NSFC Committee, supported by Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of NSFC and Education Science and Technology Department of Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, as well as organized by the Chinese University of Hong Kong, this seminar was held with the purpose of gasping the current situation and development trends of big data-driven management and decision-making research, making significant breakthrough in the frontier issue research, serving the important demands of national construction, as well as promoting Chinese research to reach the world advanced level in this field. More than 300 experts and scholars who came from Yale University, University of Hong Kong, Peking University, Tsinghua University and other well-famous colleges and universities were attracted by the seminar.

Accepting the invitation of organizing committee, the president Chen Xiaohong made an academic report of Environment Quality Dynamic Evaluation and Influencing Factors Analysis Based on the Big Data in Xiangjiang River Basins on the seminar. In the report, she introduced the latest achievements in the environment big data direction in the following three aspects, namely, research work, research results and next research plan, including comprehensive evaluation method of water quality based on evidence reasoning, comprehensive dynamic evaluation results about water quality in Xiangjiang River's main stream and branch stream based on the water quality monitoring big data, economic development's influence on water quality environment, etc. The report attracted the extensive attention and drew a number of warm responses from participating experts, and many experts indicated that they will pay highly attention to the next research plan and look expectantly toward the research results.

The president Chen Xiaohong was invited to participate in the high-level international seminar and make an academic speech to display our university's latest achievements about big data and internet innovative research on the international platform, which had created favorable conditions for our university to carry out the high-level international exchange and cooperation.
