President Chen Xiaohong Gave Lectures and Investigate in North Campus

On May 24th afternoon, President Chen Xiaohong, a doctoral tutor was invited to “Beijin Forum” and gave a lecture entitled “Transformation and Innovation of Economy, Industry and Management in the Era of Big Data and Internet Plus” for teachers and students in North Campus.
Lu Yuanru, dean of Beijin College chaired the forum with attendants including vice president Peng Jinqing and Li Dingjun, member of school Party Committee as well as director of Party and Government Administration Office Yang Liangqi, director Hu Chunhua of Teaching Affairs Division, director Fu Jianhui of Infrastructure Department , director Ding Xiaoyao of Logistics Department,director Jiang Shuguang of Entrepreneurship Education and Practice Teaching Center, and persons in charge of North Campus. More than 360 teachers and students on North Campus attended the lecture.
President Chen started her lecture from the development course of Internet and big data, and analyzed the changes of economy and society brought by big data plus Internet mainly from four aspects including its promotion of economic development, its changes of life, its enhancement of industry transformation as well as its advancement of management innovation.
President Chen suggested that China is now at the forefront of this round of changes, and the trend turns out that other countries in world begin to learn from China in many areas. She hoped students could enhance their overall qualities, grasp the opportunity of economic change, and engage in the national economic construction wave.
After the lecture, President Chen and other leaders conducted an investigation of the construction and development of Beijing College during which person in charge of Beijing College reported the present situations, and according to their problems in the process of development, heads of various relevant departments gave comments and suggestions.
President Chen highly affirmed the construction and development of the North Campus and Beijing College and showed thanks to all the staff for their hard work and outstanding contributions. She noted that the campus environment and student management in Beijin College has been greatly improved and as an important force in the development of the school, Beijin College should continue its efforts to make contributions to the school by strengthening the internal management, the campus and student management to ensure campus security and stability as details determine success. The future direction of Beijing College will be in a socialized education mode while the overall arrangement of North campus is to build for Colleges managing basic disciplines. The school will continue its support for the infrastructure construction 1. Laboratories of North Campus will be renewed and updated from this year’s budget allocated from central government; 2.Dormitory surveillance for eight students dormitories on North Campus will be installed in a time with added budget; 3. Beijin College should cooperate with Infrastructure Department for budget of outdoor playground facilities and begin the construction after approval; 4.It is agreed in principle that a new cafeteria for staff on North Campus will be built and meal subsidy will be given with reference to the standard of that on main campus; 5.Plasticization of basketball court on North Campus will be implemented by relevant departments of the school through consultation. In teaching management, a reform plan should be made combined with transitional management scheme to improve department management system in Beijin College.
