Beijing Alumni Association Held the Second Alumni Meeting

The second alumni meeting of our school’s Beijing Alumni Association was held in the meeting room of Beijing Baker Tilly Accounting Firm on the morning of May 8th  Mr. Chen Nianchu was in charge of presiding .There were over 60 alumni representatives from every walk of life in Beijing City. Xia Jichun, deputy secretary of the party committee, and Liu Minghui, secretary general of this Alumni Association were invited to attend this meeting.

Alumnus Xu Senlin made review and conclusion on major work of Beijing Alumni Association concerning the establishment of its first council and its achievements. Since the association’s establishment on November of 2008, Mr. Yinjian, serving as the president of the first council, and other members have actively contacted other alumni, set up effective work platforms, and organized varieties of colorful alumni activities, thus strengthening the communication, mutual understanding and friendship between alumni. They did a lot of work to serve their alumni as well as to develop their Alma Master, and laid a good foundation for the further development of Beijing Alumni Association.

The meeting elected the second council and appointed Mr. Tan Xiancai, general manager of Beijing Baker Tilly Accounting Firm, as president.

The new president expressed gratitude to the first council for its pioneering work and devotion in laying a good foundation, and appreciated his alumni and mother school’s trust. He said that he would never fail to live up to the expectation of alumni and master school. He would do the work of the association with all his strength to develop the association into a platform functioning in communication and cooperation. And he expected alumni’s support, attention, toleration and participation and prepared to work jointly with them to build a spiritual home.

Deputy secretary of the party committee Xia Jichun delivered a vigorous speech. He started by offering warm congratulation on the opening of this meeting on behalf of the faculty, students and Alumni Association, and extending heartfelt appreciation to the hard work of the first council’s members led by President Yin Jian for the development of Beijing Alumni Association. He wished that the newly elected council would meet the expectation of all the faculty, students and alumni. He wanted it to adjust to the new normal, follow the times, develop the thinking, therefore writing a new chapter for the association.

He hoped alumni to value this association and alumni resources, availing themselves of those resources to have more contact, visit and exchange with each other, enhance mutual assistance and cooperation so as to achieve resources sharing.

During the  interactive session ,Liu Jingdong, Wang Huazhi, Lu Jinhai, Xie Minjun, Guo Dahuan, Hu Zhunzhun, Hou Hui, Zhao Yanqiu, Liu Huilong, Deng Qien and other alumni made speeches to share experience about their fighting for their own business or cause, gave advice and suggestions on the work of Alumni Association .
