“The National Excellent Social Science Popularizing Expert” Conferred Upon Professor Wang Minggao

At the 17th National Social Science Popularizing Meeting, 144 National Excellent Social Science Popularizing Workers, 135 National Excellent Social Science Popularizing Experts, 129 high-quality works and 114 education bases were chosen as examples in recognition of the advancement to push the work forward. Professor Wang Minggao was awarded with the honor of the National Excellent Social Science Popularizing Expert for his outstanding contribution to the popularization of social science.
Professor Wang Minggao, a chief expert of Hunan Collaborative Innovation Center of Anti-corruption, has been diving into the research of anti-corruption measures for decades. He has published 3 monographs, and has been in charge of 4 key domestic and overseas research projects. Some of his research results have been translated into English, French, German, Spanish, Arabic, Korean, Japanese and other languages. and have been published on hundreds of overseas and domestic media, including People’s Daily, Guangming Daily, Xinhua Digest, China Central TV, Phoenix Satellite TV, USA Today, Singapore United Morning Post, Japan’s Asahi Shimbun and so on. His monograph, Scientific System on Anti-corruption, which comprehensively raised the theorectical conception of scientific system on anti-corruption, was nominated as the book for the 14th World Corruption Meeting. President of the meeting Barry O’Keefe said in his inscription,”May scientific system become a powerful weapon against corruption and crime.” President of Transparency International Huguette Labelle said in his inscription,”I want to extend my congratulation to the book’s writer for his great contribution to scientific anti-corruption theories. The Organization Ministry of CCPCC listed the work on Series of Monographs for the 90th Anniversary of the Communist Party and republished it. State Administration of Press of the People’s Republic of China listed it as a project supported with the National Press Fund.This book won innumerable honors and awards, such as to have been among national outstanding books for Party Building, to have been among the first outstanding publications of clean government, to have won the second prize of Excellent Achievements in Scientific Research in Institute of Higher Learning by the Ministry of Education, to have won the first prize of Excellent Achievements in Social Sciences of Philosophy in Hunan Province,etc. His monograph, Study on Special Model and Mechanisms to Prevent and Punish Absconding Corrupt Officials in China,won the first prize of the 12th Excellent Achievements of Social Sciences(application achievement), realizing his grand success in both theory and application. The book The Big Corrupt Official Zeng Jinchun truly and comprehensively revealed Zeng Jinchun’s corruption and dived deep into how his mind and soul got depraved and twisted. It has received 5-star comments in many websites since its publication and has been keeping the status as a bestseller for years, thus becoming a vivid teaching book to combat corruption and advocate a clean government.
Prof. Wang was appointed as expert of Difficulty Overcoming and Suggestion Offering Brain Tank of Hunan Province, specially-invited expert of Hunan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, and was an essential member of the Lecturer Mission of Hunan Provincial Committee of CPC successively. He was invited to make special counseling report in agencies like CCPCC of Hunan Province, Labor and Social Security Department of Hunan, Hunan Provincial Party School. Succeeding in promoting the popularization of anti-corruption education, he was well-received by the public and won good reputation. Additionally, the respectable scholar has actively advocated the anti-corruption education’s entry into class, lectured to the active applicants for CPC membership who are college and university students on Party’s lecture entitled To Be Clean and Self-cultivated, Stay Away from Corruption, gives lectures on anti-corruption theory and advanced practice for postgraduates, and guides the youth to build up a correct outlook on life and values and to foster high moral quality.
The honor of The National Excellent Social Science Popularizing Experts is conferred upon those experts of social science with splendid contribution to and great influence on the popularization of social science who must first be recommended by provincial Federation of Social Science Circles and then get the approval of National Social Science Popularizing Meeting.
