President Chen Xiaohong Gives Idea on “13th Five Year Plan” of the School

On Dec. 1, the enlarged conference of Central Committee of CPC Committee and networking training seminar of “Complimenting the General Secretary’s  Spirit and Be the ‘Four Virtues’ Teacher in New Era” was held in school library. School president Chen Xiaohong gave a coaching report themed as “Learn and Implement the Fifth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of CPC" in the meeting. Deputy party secretary Xia Jichun hosted the meeting and school leaders who are in, division directors and young teachers fewer than 35 attended.

President Chen Xiaohong fully explained the spirit of the  Fifth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of CPC combining with the new normality and latest national economic policies. She also made an incisive elaboration of the key development methods of Hunan's "13th Five Year Plan" and developing situation of universities of commerce in China, in combining with the session's spirit and the comprehensive reforming demand of high-level education.

In her speech, Chen emphasizes on the school's strategic schedule during the 13th five year. She said the attitude decides the vision, the vision decides the pattern and the pattern decides the school's future. We should be open and inclusive to the advanced experiences and acts of universities from home and abroad, focus on strategic, comprehensive, sustainable and systematical planning so as to build a scientific top-level design.

Ms. Chen also defined the developmental positioning during the 13th five year period from various aspects. She pointed out that we should follow the key principles, cultivate talents of comprehensive quality and promote the school into a regional, international and inclusive university of high level teaching and research institute of commerce.

She emphasized that, on the basis of a sound top-level design, the school should also vitalize schooling through reform and innovation as well as stick to high level disciplinary building, high standard scientific research, strong competent talent cultivating, high compatible social service, wide view of international schooling and high efficient internal management, so as to win a position by contributing,  lead the team with task, make achievements with project and realizing development with characteristics. Chen also gave a further explanation to the coming overall reforms.

Xia Jichun, the deputy party secretary, concluded and commented the seminar by praising the president's speech as simple but profound with abundant information, which opened the horizon for all attendees. He urged all departments and divisions learn it and contribute to school's comprehensive development in the future.

After the seminar, the human resource meeting was held and person from different divisions attended the meeting. Peng Jinqing, the vice president announced and arranged future work in aspects of salary and endowment insurance reform, post management and compiling, assessing mechanism for departments and internal promotion mechanism. Li Ge, the director of Office of Human Resource Management gave a further explanation of the work schedules.

The president Chen Xiaohong stressed on the meeting that, human resource reform is the school's leading and internal reform of management mechanism, where a lightly move may affect the situation as a whole. All departments should, firstly, pay much attention to and careful comprehend it; secondly, be executive and implement it thoroughly; third, facilitate the school's development by the mentioned means to achieve the developmental goal of "13th Five Year Plan".
