“Sepiolite Humidity Control Paint for Constructions” by Prof. Wang Hanqing Assessed as Provincial Excellent Achievement

On Dec 4, 2015, the expert assessment meeting of “Sepiolite Humidity Control Paint for Constructions” project, the backbone project in National “the 12nd Five Year Plan” Scientific Projects, conducted by Prof. Wang Hanqing was held in the Provincial Department of Science and Technology. The meeting was hosted by Productivity Promoting Centre of the department. 20, including the leaders from the centre, 7 renowned professors from Hunan University, Central South University, Changsha University of Science and Technology, Central South University of Forestry and Technology and Hunan University of Science and Technology, and the research group members of the project attended the meeting. After Prof. Wang’s introduction to his achievement, the assessing experts conducted careful discussion and evaluation on key techniques and indexes and gave a high appraisal to the research result.

After careful and strict assessing from the aspects of innovation, advancement, complexity, reproducibility and social effect, the expert team members reached to the consensus that the research achievement is of high performance, clean and environmental-friendly. It is applicable to cope with the steam coagulation on the wall in Southern China during transition seasons. Considering its immediate demand in the market and significant promotion value, the team recommends to speed up its industrialization process.
