The 18th Track and Field Meeting Held

The 18th track and field meeting was held from Oct. 31st to Nov. 2nd in our school.

School leaders including Wang Hanqing, Xia Jichun, Peng Jinqing, Chen Liying, Zeng Fuqiu, Li Dingjun, Liu Guoquan and Liao Mingxing attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was held by vice president Liu Guoquan and officially opened by school secretary of party committee Wang Hanqing.

A Fun Games Competition of faculty members was held after the opening ceremony. The competition includes various games in which the attendees showed great interests, showing the faulty members’ positive spirituality.

During the event from the afternoon of Oct. 31st to the morning of Nov. 2nd, the competitors showed the athletic spirit of “Higher, Faster and Higher” with their efforts and sweats.

Altogether 803 members joined in over 40 events of this term. Zhu Hongji from the School of Accounting broke the record of shot put with 21.77m and Chen Yi from Beijin College broke the women high jump record with 1.43m. “The Group Awards” were taken by Beijin College, the School of Computer and Information Engineering and the School of Accounting. “ The Best Morality Awards” were taken by the School of Foreign Languages, the School of Art and Design and the School of Economy and Trade”.

Vice presidents Peng Jingqing, Li Dingjun and Liu Guoquan awarded the winning individuals and groups in the closing ceremony. The event of this term show the high sport level and athletic morality of all, showing the athletic doings of our school is prospering soundly. (by Hu Huimei)
