School Mobile Library Officially Opens to All

Mobile reading adds brilliance to splendor. The Mobile Library of HNUC finished its test run recently and is open to the school students and faculties now.

With the Mobile Library, readers can easily search desirable books in school library, check borrowing state and renew books on their smartphones or tablets like iPad. The Mobile Library also allows access to over 20,000 bestsellers of e-book edition through mobile phones and over 1,000,000 scanned books that are downloadable in mobile phones. Furthermore, the online service provides real-time updates on over 300 kinds of newspapers and more than 20,000 videos clips of open classes or academic resources. The Mobile Library also gives an all-in-one search of the digital resources of the school library and transfer service of academic documents.

The project of Mobile Library was permitted in Jan 2015 and attached great importance by the school Party Committee and administrative organs with an annual invest of RMB 90,000 yuan. The project staffs paid a visiting learning and exchanged thoughts with staff in Hunan University, Central South University and Hunan Agricultural University.

Now, in the context of popularization of mobile reading and full coverage of WiFi network, the opening up of Mobile Library signifies a new stage of the school library’s development and avails the teachers and students of efficiency and convenience of getting latest information as well as ensures the science research and teaching of the school.
