HUC President’s Trip to Guangdong University of Foreign Studies

The president of Hunan University of Commerce (HUC) Chen Xiaohong headed to southern China’s Guangdong Province on a trip to Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) on May 18th. Leading a team made up by five other school authorities, Mrs. Chen received warm welcome from GDUFS upon arrival.
During the meeting, GDUFS secretary of Party Committee Sui Guangjun introduced the achievements GDUFS made in teaching and research during the last 50 years, and further explained the on-going credit system reform and the two new research institutes in GDUFS.
At the end of the meeting, Chen invited GDUFS to visit HUC and said she hoped more meetings with GDUFS will be held in future.
“GDUFS is a reference model for all Universities and we certainly hope to learn more from its experience.” said Chen.
Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS), is a public university in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. The university offers 61 bachelor-degree specialties and teaches 18 foreign languages. As South China’s first university that signed a cooperation memorandum with the United Nations, it is one of the world’s 21 universities qualified to supply competent interpreters and translators to the international organization.
