UWLA President Robert Brown Gives Talk on Becoming Attorney in HUC

June 1st, the 10th session of Lushan Forum was held at the moot court of Lezhi building in Hunan University of Commerce (HUC) with the dean of HUC Law School Yang Zhenrong as the host. Mr. Robert Brown, the president of University of West Los Angeles (UWLA), attended the forum and gave a talk on the topic of “why l think it is important to consider a career in the law and become an attorney”.
Mr. Robert shared his experience and explained why he chose to embark on a career in law. He said becoming an attorney was an effective way for young people to contribute to the society and help other people in need and was the right thing to do.
Mr. Robert then introduced the entrance examination and the teaching method of American law school. He pointed out that clear logic thinking as well as good communication skills are the necessary requirement of a professional layer. Meanwhile, he also expressed his confidence in the future of law school graduates.
At the end of the talk, Mr. Robert warmly welcomed and invited the students from HUC to further their study in the US.
UWLA was founded in 1966, by Henry Blunt, and three other Culver City High School educators. It maintains two campuses in the Los Angeles metropolitan area in Inglewood (West Los Angeles) and Chatsworth (San Fernando Valley).
Mr. Robert Brown has been teaching in UWLA for the last 15 years and has 35 years experience in legal consult. He currently serves as the president of UWLA.
