HUTB Holds an Online Debriefing Evaluation Meeting on CPC building and Target Management Assessment 2022

On January 9, the online debriefing evaluation meeting on CPC building of the secondary CPC organizations and the target management assessment of the secondary units 2022 was successfully held. The meeting was attended by Chen Xiaohong, Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee, Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory and CAE Academician, Huang Xin, Deputy Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee and President, Xiao Xiaoqin, Deputy Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee, and other chief leaders, members of the CPC Committee, representatives of CPC congresses at all levels, deputies to the NPC, members of CPPCC, chairmen of democratic parties, all division-level cadres and representatives of teachers' congress. The meeting was presided over by Deputy Secretary Xiao Xiaoqin.
At the meeting, the schools and management service departments made a summary report on the work in the past year. Focusing on the deployment and development of CPC building, the completion of unit performance indicators, innovation achievements and characteristics, current shortcomings and future planning, etc., they showed the achievements, checked the deficiencies, highlighted the goals, talked about ideas, and fully displayed the work performance in 2022, and looked forward to the work arrangement in 2023 with confidence.
Chen Xiaohong, Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee and CAE Academician, summarized the evaluation meeting. She pointed out that it is very rejoicing to comprehensively summarize the achievements of the university in 2022. In this year, CPC building was further promoted, the remarkable results were achieved in talent training with the fruitful results for scientific research, the social reputation was greatly highlighted, and the campus became more beautiful. These results can not be achieved without the original aspiration of all HUTBers at the eventful years, their silent dedication in ordinary days, and their brave to scale new heights under the call of duty.
Secretary Chen Xiaohong said that facing the development situation of higher education in the new era, she felt the great responsibility. The new pattern of higher education development in the new era requires us to fully understand the new mission and task. The effective implementation of the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education requires the integrated deployment of education, science and technology and talents. Serving the strategic positioning and mission of "Three Highlands, Four New Missions" requires us to make due contributions.
Secretary Chen Xiaohong emphasized that focusing on the goals and tasks of the university in 2023, we must strive for first-class. First, we should strive for initiative, take the initiative to seek success, and make new contributions to promoting the high-quality development of the university. Second, we should seek transformation, focus on the fundamental task of cultivating people by virtue, and continuously highlight the development characteristics of innovative first-class business and technology universities. Third, we should strengthen the connotation, continuously release the vitality of talents, focus on the frontier and key areas of science and technology, and consolidate the foundation of S&T innovation. Fourth, we should promote the leap and fix the tasks related to “Three Advances and Three Highs”, and make more breakthrough achievements in university-running improvement, talent training, scientific research and social services.
