On February 11, the academic forum "Digital Economy and High-quality Development” was held in Changsha. The forum was hosted by HUTB, with academic support from the editorial department of Journal of Management World, Development Research Center of the State Council.


On the morning of 11th, the academic forum "Digital Economy and High-quality Development" was inaugurated at the Academic Conference Center of Xiangjiang Laboratory of HUTB. Academician Chen Xiaohong said that the current digital economy is becoming a new driving force and engine to promote economic and social development. Facing the great opportunity for transformation and upgrading of industries empowered by digital technology, we should firmly grasp the opportunity brought by the application of digital technology to promote the high-quality development of China's economy. In recent years, HUTB has adhered to the idea of integration between “New engineering courses + new business courses + new liberal arts courses” and science courses, and promoted the all-round reform of digital economy talent training. She pointed out that this forum focuses on the theme of "Digital Economy and High-quality Development" and explores new theories, new paths and new models of digital transformation. She expressed the hope that all participating experts will fully exchange views and collide with the spark of ideas through this forum, and make positive contributions to promoting the high-quality development of digital economy.

President Li Zhijun said that the digital economy is developing at an unprecedented speed, with a wide radiation range and a deep influence. Developing the digital economy has become an important force leading the high-quality development of China's economy. Journal of Management World magazine has always advocated "studying Chinese problems, telling Chinese stories, and promoting the construction of discipline system, academic system and discourse system with Chinese characteristics, Chinese style and Chinese manner", studied the major practical problems in China's economic and social development, and paid attention to the theoretical and practical significance of topic selection. He showed the expectation that the scholars seriously exchange and discuss, inspire and sharpen each other, and contribute to promoting China's digital economy and high-quality development, and wished this forum a complete success.

After the opening ceremony, the theme report meeting of the forum was held immediately, presided over by Professor Tan Yuejin of National University of Defense Technology. On the afternoon of 11th, the sub-forums of "Digital Transformation and High-quality Development", "Digital Innovation and High-quality Development" and "Digital Governance and High-quality Development" were held simultaneously in HUTB. Scholars from Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Zhejiang University, Wuhan University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Beijing Normal University, Central South University, Xiamen University, East China Normal University, Hunan University, Chongqing University, Central University of Finance and Economics, University of International Business and Economics and other colleges and universities gave keynote speeches and received comments online and offline. The academic exchanges were warm and in-depth at the strong academic atmosphere.
This forum is divided into one main forum and three sub-forums. Around the theme of "Digital Economy and High-quality Development", 27 academic reports were conducted, and nearly 190,000 people participated in by watching live online broadcasts. This forum has set up a platform for enhancing the understanding of the relationship between digital economy and high-quality development and the influencing mechanism between them, and provided valuable opportunities for young and middle-aged scholars to exchange and cooperate academically.
