HUTB Holds "Celebrating Double Ninth Festival and Enjoying Beautiful Campus" Series Activities

Every year on the 9th day of the 9th lunar month, it's the Double Ninth Festival. This year, under the care and guidance of the CPC HUTB Committee, from October 19 to 24, HUTB organized retired faculty and staff to participate in the campus tour activity themed "Celebrating Double Ninth Festival and Enjoying Beautiful Campus" at the North Campus. At the request of Chen Xiaohong, Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Liu Guoquan, Member of CPC HUTB Committee and Vice President of HUTB, personally visited the elderly comrades at the event. The Retirement Division, the head of the North Campus Management Committee, and nearly 400 retired faculty and staff participated in the activity.

With excitement in their hearts, the elderly comrades toured the ever-changing North Campus, from the Zhuiguang Building and Jinsuo Lake to the Cuiwei Park and Fountain Square. They experienced the development of HUTB amidst the beautiful scenery and captured memorable moments in group photos. They leisurely strolled by the Jinsuo Lake, rested and chatted in the pavilion. The North Campus was particularly lively at this moment, and the joy and excitement could be seen on the faces of the elderly comrades everywhere, accompanied by their laughter and cheerful voices. The vibrant flowers and lush trees witnessed the tremendous changes that have taken place in the North Campus in recent years. Everyone marveled at the transformation and offered constant praise.

On the return journey, everyone remained excited and felt that they had not had enough. They were sincerely delighted by the remarkable improvement in HUTB's outstanding achievements, comprehensive strength, and social reputation in recent years. They expressed their intention to continue to contribute and support the development of HUTB as always, and to promote HUTB to reach new heights.

The "Celebrating Double Ninth Festival and Enjoying Beautiful Campus" series activities consist of visiting the North Campus, calligraphy and photography exhibitions, chess and poker competitions, and more. The purpose is to care for and cherish the elderly comrades, enrich their spiritual and cultural lives, allow them to have a better understanding of the overall development of HUTB, and gather the collective strength of the elderly to advance together.
