Academician Chen Xiaohong, Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee, Selected for the Fourth Time as "Highly Cited Scientist" in the Past Five Years

     On November 15, Clarivate released the list of "Highly Cited Scientists" for 2023, with a total of 6,849 scientists from 67 countries and regions worldwide being included. China's mainland has a total of 1,275 entries on the list. Professor Chen Xiaohong, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory, and Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee, has been listed as a "Highly Cited Scientist" in the Cross-Field category. This marks the fourth time in the past five years that Academician Chen Xiaohong has achieved this honor.

The global "Highly Cited Scientists" list is based on citation data from the Web of Science, analyzing the citation data and impact of highly cited papers published by scientists over the past decade. The aim is to select top scientific talents with significant and wide-ranging influence in their respective research fields from universities, research institutions, and commercial organizations around the world. Scientists from around the world who are selected for this list have published multiple highly cited papers, with citation frequencies ranking in the top 1% of the same discipline, demonstrating their significant academic influence among their peers.

As a renowned expert in management science and engineering management in China, Academician Chen Xiaohong has an impressive H-index of 94 according to the latest Google Scholar data. Being listed as a "Highly Cited Scientist" for the fourth time is the result of Academician Chen Xiaohong's close attention to the major strategic needs of the country and the sustained conduct of strategic, forward-looking, and practical academic research. This signifies that Academician Chen Xiaohong and her team have generated broad and significant impact in interdisciplinary research fields, receiving high recognition from the academic communities at home and abroad.
