HUTB Achieve Good Results in “Yuelu Mountain Cup” College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

Recently, the final round of the 20th “Yuelu Mountain Cup” College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Changsha. The competition was organized by the Office of the Changsha Science and Technology Innovation Committee, with the support of the Changsha Municipal Science and Technology Bureau and the Changsha Municipal Education Bureau. A total of 23 universities and 123 projects entered the semi-finals, with 15 projects from undergraduate students advancing to the final round. In the end, eight winning projects were selected. The project “Flawless Vision - Intelligent Defect Inspection and Repair Leader in Titanium Alloy” by faculty and students from our university’s Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies won the second prize. The project “Intelligent Eye - Human-Machine Collaborative Safety Sentinel in the Smart Workshop” received the third prize. Additionally, the project “Intelligent Eco-system - Leader in Sludge Energy Utilization Technology” by faculty and students from the School of Resources and Environment won the third prize. Our university ranked first in the number of projects entering the finals and the number of awards in the undergraduate group.
It is reported that our university has made historic breakthroughs in various innovation and entrepreneurship competitions. The outstanding achievements are inseparable from THE CPC HUTB Committee’s emphasis on cultivating innovative, entrepreneurial, application-oriented and compound high-quality talents, the leadership and support of high-level scientific and technological innovation platforms such as the Xiangjiang Laboratory and the National Center for Basic Science project, and the efforts of our faculties and students in scientific research innovation and result transformation. Next, the university will further enhance innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, and strive to explore effective mechanisms for deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application. Through diversified approaches, we will promote the transformation and industrialization of scientific research achievements.
