HUTB Successfully Completes Organization for Preliminary Examination of 2024 National Entrance Exams for Postgraduate Studies

The preliminary examination of the 2024 National Entrance Exams for Postgraduate Studies was conducted at our university from December 23 to 25, 2023. Our university successfully completed the organization work. As one of the examination centers in Hunan, our university set up a total of 62 examination rooms located in Zhicheng Building and Lezhi Building at the south campus. A total of 1857 candidates participated in the examination.
During the examination, Liu Guoquan, a member of CPC HUTB Committee and Vice President of HUTB, led a team to inspect the examination sites. He carefully understood the implementation of various work measures such as examination safety, examination discipline, and candidate services. He fully affirmed the organization work and put forward work requirements.
This year, the university strengthened the unified management of mobile phones before the examination. Intelligent security gates were installed at the entrances of the Lezhi Building and Zhicheng Building examination centers to conduct strict inspections of electronic devices. Additionally, “mobile phone storage areas” were set up outside the buildings for candidates to store their mobile phones and other electronic devices.
In order to ensure the smooth organization of the preliminary examination, the university held early meetings for exam invigilators and exam affairs training. It also established a research examination working group and formed various teams including the exam affairs team, paper confidentiality team, examination building team, mobile team, supervision team, publicity team, security team, monitoring team, equipment support team, logistics support team, prevention and health care team, and emergency response team. The organization of the examination was carried out strictly in accordance with the requirements of the 2024 provincial entrance exams for postgraduate studies. Based on the previous development of “scientific, planned, refined, and procedural” work standards, the objectives of achieving “Three Nos”, “Three Stabilities”, “Three Guarantees” and safe examination were realized. All examination staff members remained vigilant and fulfilled their responsibilities, while participating units cooperated closely to ensure the smooth completion of this year's preliminary examination.
