HUTB Organizes A "Classical Music and Ballet" Audiovisual Concert

Blending Eastern and Western elements to showcase the beauty of classical elegance and the artistry of ballet. On the evening of January 9, the university held a "Classical Music and Ballet" audiovisual concert at the Xiangjiang Lecture Hall. Chen Xiaohong, Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee, Director of the Xiangjiang Laboratory, and CAE Academician; Liu Guoquan and Yi Mianyang, members of CPC HUTB Committee and Vice Presidents of HUTB; Tan Yuejin, Major General of the National University of Defense Technology and Honorary Dean of the School of Business Administration; Nellie Bute, Director of the Omsk State Music Theatre in Russia, and Tatina Kercheva, Deputy Director of the Omsk State Music Theatre, along with leaders and guests attending the Xiangjiang Laboratory Product Launch and Industrial Alliance Establishment Conference, immersed themselves in the charm of "Classical Music and Ballet" alongside teachers and students. They enjoyed an immersive and splendid audiovisual music feast that combined Eastern and Western elements.

This concert is hosted by the CPC Committee Publicity Department, the Labour Union, the Youth League Committee, and the School of Music. Xiao Ming, a State Council special allowance expert, a national first-class conductor, and the Dean of the School of Music, along with Yang Lele, a young conductor, director of the China Chorus Association, overall conductor of the 70th National Day Celebration Gala thousand-voice choir, and a professor of HUTB’s Talent Introduction Program, served as conductors. The Xiangjiang Symphony Orchestra of the university performed passionately throughout the concert, with teachers from the School of Music and the Changfeng Chorus participating. The concert also featured special performances by the Omsk Ballet Troupe from Russia, the Hunan Youth Ballet Troupe, the Violet Women's Chorus from Central South University, and some young artists.





The concert opened with the orchestral piece "Spring Festival Overture", featuring lively and grandiose music, while the dancers performed with joy and liveliness, welcoming guests from all walks of life with enthusiasm to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year. The soprano solo "Voices of Spring" presented a light, melodious, and exquisite melody, conveying emotions full of hope and vitality. The ballet "Russian Dance" showcased the distinct national color of Russia, brimming with excited and unrestrained joyful emotions. The soprano solo "Nightingale" sang beautifully and melodiously like a nightingale, making people feel as if they were placed in the beautiful and tranquil nature. The orchestral piece "Waltz No.2 by Shostakovich" is harmonious and full of variation, filled with beautiful melodies and rich emotions. The ballet "Romance in the Snow" is as pure and transparent as ice and snow, creating a romantic atmosphere with its light rhythm and dance. The orchestral piece "Lift Your Veil" features a lively rhythm, with agile dance steps, telling a beautiful story of pursuing love. The orchestral piece "Unter Donner und Blitz" performs magnificent and richly layered music, creating a breathtaking and grand momentum. The ballet "Arabian Dance" is full of exotic charm, allowing the audience to experience the unique Arabian culture and style. The chorus "Kashgar Girl" with its high-pitched tones and melodious melody is unforgettable, showcasing the beauty and deep feelings of Uighur girls. The ballet "Spanish Dance" is lively and rhythmic, showcasing a distinct Spanish style with a cheerful and warm atmosphere at the scene.




The medley of songs including "In That Distant Place", "The Most Beautiful Is Still Our Xinjiang", "Beautiful Hawagul", "A Fresh Flower", and "Youth Dance" were sung in succession, praising the beauty of Xinjiang with joyful voices. The ballet "The Firebird" features graceful and elegant movements, as if embodying the poetic and powerful flight of the firebird in the air. The orchestral piece "Sabre Dance" makes one feel as if placed among galloping horses, experiencing unparalleled passion and power. The duet "Prayer" for male and female voices is melodious and beautiful, filled with romantic emotions, sincerely blessing a fulfilling life on Earth. The ballet "Trepak" features light and lively dance movements, full of innocence and joy, taking the audience into a fairytale-like world. The soprano solo "The Fiery Kiss" flows with intense emotions, burning like a fierce fire, interpreting the sweetness and beauty of love. The orchestral piece "Masquerade Suite" flows with deep and mysterious power, allowing people to feel the serene and solemn beauty. The ballet "Hungarian Dance" features light and powerful movements, interpreting classic music with high-difficulty actions that leave the audience in awe. The classical dance "Desert Solitaire" combines grace and strength, showcasing the heroic spirit of desert knights. During the interactive session at the event, the lead singer and the audience sang together songs like "You Raise Me Up", "Empty World", "Among People", "Human", "As Wished", and "Our Lives Are Full of Sunshine." The moving voices conveyed strength and hope, instantly igniting the atmosphere at the scene. The orchestral piece "The Blue Danube" is gentle and captivating, touching the depths of the heart. The dancers' elegant and magnificent movements eloquently narrate the romantic story of the Danube River, immersing people in its beauty.

Finally, the audience sang in unison songs like "Never Forget Why You Started", "Guiding", "Ode to the Motherland", and "I Love You, China", expressing infinite love and loyalty to the Communist Party of China through their voices. They echoed the increasingly powerful and heroic voice of the motherland and the deep pride in the hearts of the Chinese people.
