The 2026 National Entrance Exams for Postgraduate Studies were held from December 20 to 21, 2025. HUTB successfully completed the organization and administration work as a designated test center. As one of the official test centers for the National Entrance Exams for Postgraduate Studies in Hunan Province, HUTB set up the initial test venues in Buildings A and B of Zhicheng Building on its South Campus. There was a total of 54 standardized test rooms, and 1,618 candidates took the exam at this test center.

During the examination period, leaders from the Department of Education of Hunan Province and the Hunan Provincial Education Examination Authority inspected HUTB's test center and commended its organization and administration work. Liao Zhikun, Secretary of the CPC HUTB Committee; Liao Xiangyue, Deputy Secretary of the CPC HUTB Committee and President; and Zhang Ling, Vice President of HUTB, conducted inspections of the test center. They were briefed on the implementation of work including examination room security, supervision of examination discipline, and service guarantees for candidates, and put forward requirements for enhancing security checks in examination rooms, tightening examination room management, optimizing services for candidates, and improving emergency response plans.

The university tightened control over candidates' electronic devices brought into the test center, deployed intelligent security inspection equipment at the entrance, and conducted strict checks on the electronic devices carried by candidates. Meanwhile, centralized mobile phone storage areas were set up outside the building by test room zones, providing a standardized place for candidates to deposit mobile phones and other electronic devices. During the examination, candidates strictly abided by the test room regulations, and entered the test rooms in an orderly manner. The test center maintained good order, sound examination discipline was observed, and all candidates remained in a stable state throughout the exam.

The university made advance planning and thorough arrangements, establishing a leading group for the postgraduate entrance examination and a working group for the postgraduate entrance examination (preliminary test). It also organized and held invigilation work meetings and examination affairs training sessions, and set up 12 specialized teams including the examination affairs working group as well as special working groups for each secondary school. This examination organization work was carried out in strict accordance with the requirements for the 2026 provincial entrance exams for postgraduate studies, promoting the scientific planning, standardized implementation, refined execution and procedural advancement of the examination work. This ensured the achievement of the "four guarantees and one realization" and the goal of a safe graduate examination. All examination staff members remained vigilant and fulfilled their responsibilities, while participating units cooperated closely and coordinated effectively, ensuring the steady, orderly and smooth completion of this year's preliminary examination organization.
